Gluten Intolerant

We had a private event at Iron Gate with a 3-course dinner (2-4 items per course) served family style. The event manager assured us that all dietary restrictions in our party of 9 would be accommodated, and we were not disappointed. When we arrived, the server asked each person if they had any allergies/restrictions. I was the only GF person in the group, and the kitchen prepared separate options for me for each item that contained gluten: house-made GF bread with the first course, a separate plate of the salad without gluten items, a separate GF pasta dish in the second course, and my own dessert plate, an amazing flourless chocolate tort with accoutrements. I am also intolerant to quinoa and they accommodated that, too. I don't think they have a separate GF menu, but the kitchen and wait staff did a great job meeting our needs, and I did not get sick. Everything was absolutely delicious, the staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Everyone in the group had a great time, an incredible meal, and left with full bellies. Highly recommended!

Amazing experience! We did the chef's tasting menu for dinner and they made the best GF swaps. They even gave me GF bread that seemed homemade! The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. One of the best fine dining experiences I've had since being gluten free! I highly recommend Iron Gate for all special occasions!

I'm not celiac so I'm not sure about cross contamination. But I did not get sick.

Celiac

I went there for lunch today. When the waiter arrived I asked what options I could eat. To be fair, I am also a pescatarian. He offered me the baby carrots (a starter) or a salad. I asked him to check with the chef if there was something else. He came back offering two of the pasta dishes with gluten free pasta. The dish came and was delicious. I’m normally skeptical Of great food, but could tell it was GF, so happily ate it all. A couple of hours later I was Vomiting. Very sure must have been cross contamination. Celiac beware!
