I visited Issacs on April 6, 2024. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad which is gluten free. My friend ordered the Salty Eagle sandwich (not gluten free). We were both pleasantly surprised at how delicious our meals were. The restaurant was clean and the staff were very friendly.
I wish we had an Issac’s in CT. I would get that Buffalo chicken salad all the time.
We have always eaten at Issacs Pickle Bar downtown and we’re excited to see one closer. Dinner in was fine. Said we were celiac at idiom. Ordered salads to take back to our hotel. My daughter eats it and towards the end says she tastes a crouton. When she asks me to check there it was at the bottom. So I’m guessing they forgot and decided the old pick them off method would work. When I checked my salad they were too. I am extremely sensitive. So my birthday was spent with my daughter sick with both pain, nausea and much more. Manager refunded our check but doesn’t make up for a ruined trip and birthday. Took pictures of the salads and considering legal action. It will be weeks before she feels normal again AND she is a tennis teaching pro. Needless to say I will continue to go downtown and will never visit here again. If I could give no stars I would.
I used to crave a certain sandwich here prior to diagnosis. Discovered I might be able to have it again, noticing the information and reviews on this app. Went for lunch today and ordered my favorite… The cormorant… Chicken salad with cranberries. The gentleman at the counter could not locate their gf menu. He said almost any sandwich could be gf as they would serve on their gf broccoli cheddar flatbread….I just needed to let him know which one I was interested in and he would verify with kitchen staff. Staff seemed prepared and aware of allergy vs preference prep. They entered an allergy alert when they submitted my order. Sandwich was huge, wonderfully tasty and flatbread was warm/lightly toasted…wonderful texture - will be my lunch tomorrow as well. I’m 8+ hrs post and all is well…no signs of cc. Will go again!

I got a sandwich with glutenfree flat bread. I don't recommend. I could see that it was cross contaminated by seeing normal bread on the Flatbread.
Great gluten free menu that includes soups and bread for sandwiches. Extensive menu and knowledgeable staff!!
I have always loved this place. went there for 20 plus years before being diaged with Celiac. Been a few years since I was there. These guys are awesome ! They were knowledgeable, courteous, did all the right things. i'm writing this the next day and I had no reactions at all. Very, Very excited that I can go back to my favorite place again. Not really sure why I waited so long. Their GF flat bread is off the hook !
Beth was our server and she was both knowledgeable and attentive. My wife and are both gluten-free and there were several choices including AWESOME bread and GF vegetable soup. For those who have celiac it's a great choice.
Phenomenal!!! I had the Hoopoe on the handcrafted gluten free flat bread...terrific. Who knew tuna and bacon tasted great together. My 12 year old daughter had a cheese pizza on gluten free flat bread. She enjoyed it very much. She also had the chocolate torte which said was delicious. Waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable of the GF diet. Restaurant was very well kept. Definitely stop in when in the Lancaster County area.
The gf flat bread sandwiches are awesome. You can buy the bread to go! The service was excellent too.
first time trying isaacs g free, wonderful waitress who asked if it was an allergy, and made sure i knew the soup wasnt g free. made sure to let me know about their flourless chocolate torte too! great experience.
Great GF Flatbread from a local bakery. GF foods were prepared in a separate area. Food was good. Casual atmosphere like Friendly's or Perkins.
Amazing! So many choices!!!! All meats are gluten free and you can make any sandwich GF with their GF flatbread. I'm in heaven and wish we had this where we live.
Delicious food! GFpita is some of the best I've had. Very knowlegeable about gluten. Can make any of their sandwiches GF. Very good experience. Highly recommend!
This place is fantastic. We had several options to choose from amd they were very careful with cross contamination. We had the cranberry almond chicken salad on the GF flatbread and it was to die for. Definitely the go to place for great GF food.
Love how they toast the flat. Never soggy or overdone. Always friendly and helpful
I recommend this without reservation. Staff was knowledgeable, competent, friendly & efficient. Yummy true deli food/sandwiches. Flatbread used for gf was tasty! I had a Reuben, also, really reasonably priced: $42 dinner for 2 adults & 4 kids. Can't beat that for fresh, non-fast food!

Fantastic experience. Server knew exactly what we needed. Everything was delicious and no one got sick.
The menu has lots of options and the gluten free flatbread was good. Not outstanding, but good. We were bummed that the flatbread contains dairy so it didn’t work for our youngest. Heads up for anyone who also needs dairy free.
This place was so incredibly helpful and careful about my allergies. I am very allergic to wheat and celiac. I had a salad and got hard boiled egg on it and guacamole and feta cheese. No reactions and the server reassured me that she wanted everything to be safe for me and made the salad herself with extra precautions. Thanks Isaac’s!!
South York store on Pauline Dr has amazing staff who are very attentive and aware of issues with cross contamination. They have GF wraps and many safe choices. The manager at this store is particularly outstanding.
