Islander Bar and Grill

Was very nervous about going here because nothing is labeled gf. Honestly bought things at the grocery before dinner assuming I'd only be able to eat oysters. The waiter was surprisingly knowledgeable, and said they have a lot of celiac customers. Even said he could write down for the kitchen to avoid cross contamination without me prompting him.

Not many options, really only salad, steak, and burgers with a lettuce wrap. Got the steak with a salad with no croutons. Didn't get sick and I'm really sensitive to cross contamination. The steak was supposed to come with mashed potatoes, but didn't, I guess they assumed that potatoes have gluten?

All in all, not the most educated on gf place I've been, but decently good for a safe meal. Waiter was super nice.

Update: did get sick a few hours after dinner. Not full blown anaphylaxis, but stomache ache.
