We were in the area and stopped by for lunch. A little pricey but certainly worth it! We had a panini and the turkey sandwich - both were delicious and we had no issues. We also took some desserts home. They have a good selection of cupcakes, donuts, bagels and more plus coffee and tea. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area.
This is a favorite spot for my family after a celiac diagnosis for my toddler. The food is delicious (my daughters love the gluten-free waffles and breakfast sandwich), the bakery is clean and welcoming and the staff takes wonderful care of us. It's a weekly go to for us and I recommend to anyone looking for a safe spot for gluten-free! We are so grateful to find delicious food where we don't have to worry about cross-contamination.
My 4 y/o review: "Come here, it is tasty!"
Although it is great to see a dedicated gluten-free business, honestly, I was shocked at the pricing, especially given the quality. Got a doughnut, which was OK, nothing, particularly good or bad to say about it. Also picked up a bagel to eat the next day, the bagel was extraordinarily expensive over eight dollars for a frozen single bagel, and did not really think it was anything great
I had already placed my preorder for thanksgiving but thought I would stop in today for some treats. They had a variety of desserts to choose from. We took home a few cupcakes and a 7 layer brownie. My 5 year old daughter said it was better than the gluten bakeries (I’m the only celiac)
Adding to my old review. I still love them. Stopped in This morning for a breakfast sandwich on everything bread. That is my favorite bread.
Really love it here! The coffee is delicious and the apple cider donut I had recently was out of this world. I really love the breakfast sandwiches and have a loaf of the honey oat in my freezer right now. It’s so great to be able to have a quick breakfast sandwich! Food is made fresh so if you’re in a hurry call in advance and they’ll make your order before you arrive. My own bad thought was that they had chocolate covered Oreos? Not sure if they use the name brand gluten free ones, but there is debate about whether or not they are celiac safe due to being made with non-gluten free oats but oats with wheat removed. Not sure, but either way you can skip those and eat the rest of the stuff!
I' from closer to Boston but have family in North Andover so swung by for their one year anniversary. There's a sign on the door asking not to bring outside food in for the protection of other patrons which I thought was a nice touch.
I had the pesto morning sandwich on honey oat with egg and ham, I think it was called green eggs and ham. It was good and they took care in crafting it.
I also took home a donut and Mac and cheese for later. Both look great. They were giving out 7 layer brownie samples and that was quite good.
They have limited dairy free options but the pb cookie, and fruit crumble bar are both dairy free and they can make chocolate or vanilla cupcakes or cake dairy free with a fre days notice... You do have to order at least six of the flavor you choose.
Price wise I see a lot of people complaining or mentioning price. Unfortunately that's the problem with this niche. Higher price for ingredients , can't mass produce as much etc. I've been to several other gluten free bakeries and their prices are in line with the others in the Boston area.
This place is amazing! It’s a fully dedicated gluten free facility. The staff is so friendly (small family business) and they have so many options. They have made to order breakfast and lunch sandwiches, pastry items and a freezer for of items to take home (pasta, pizza crusts, bread, etc). You can also place orders ahead of time for holidays or events. I’ve eaten here so many times and never have been sick. They also have great coffee.
They used to be located in Salem, NH. Moved to this location in N Andover which is a bigger space, tables to sit at and more parking outside.
ZERO dairy free options. Knowing that such a high percentage of celiacs and other gluten intolerant folks are also dairy free, it’s disappointing that the only df option was a peanut butter cookie. Who puts dairy in gluten free bread??? You’re missing literally 50% of your potential market here!!
Vincent sorry we didn’t see the request until now. Dairy free is another baking process that require other milk free items. Rice dream and butter substitutes which are available but pricey. We don’t get enough request for dairy free to keep those items fresh. If dairy free becomes more of a request we would entertain adding some items . Thank you for the post!
Was here for the first time today where they had samples of several of their items, just finished the first cannoli I have had in years, and have had to stop myself from finishing everything I bought in one sitting. Everything I have tried so far has exceeded my expectations and cannot wait to return.
The bagels, breakfast sandwiches, cupcakes and cinnamon roll were all amazing! They also have a wonderful selection of dinners (lasagna, raviolis, Mac n cheese, chicken pot pies, etc) that look delicious. Highly recommend!
They area dedicated GF facility, which is nice for us with Celiac. They have a good selection of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, as well as baked goods!
Beware, though. Subbing GF bagels for sandwich results in a FIVE DOLLAR upcharge under the guise of "increased prices."
For $5, I can get the same quality of bagels from the supermarket, but 4x as many.
This place is all GF which is amazing but spending about $100 for a small bag of pastries is absurd. I’ve never encountered a $5 up-charge to switch from bread to bagel on a single breakfast sandwich before. Food wasn’t toasted properly either, for a $25 breakfast sandwich you would expect that they would.
Safe, yes.
Worth it, if you’re rich and don’t care or willing to pay anything for GF.
Only gluten free products
The quality is amazing. Best I’ve found North of, and including, Boston. I used to plan trips when they were in NH and now they’re in my hometown a mile away! The owners are very nice people and the food is delicious. The bakery items and the savory dishes are all delicious.
