I am celiac and also allergic to dairy, so I was excited about being able to go to a restaurant that understood allergies. What I found was a wait staff who ignored our party, but was very friendly and helpful to the " regulars". When they finally waited on us they were impatient with my questions about ingredients, nor they have gluten free buns. The fries my husband ordered were almost burnt on the outside and frozen in the middle, the rest of the meal was a disappointment. We tried one more time with the same result. We won't try again, we were so disappointed!
The BEST hamburger in town. The fact they have GF buns makes me twill with delight. SO yummy! The owner is celiac so they place is very aware. Worth the out of town drive! Fries are baked and not put in the frier. The condiments come in individual packages so there is no cross contamination. Pizza crust is vegan. It is smokey, but honestly, it's part of the ambiance.
The owner has celiacs but the staff that served us was far from educated on GF. Our server made numerous mistakes: salad with croutons that were not GF, served a meal with a mini loaf of regular bread right on the plate of a GF ordered meal, served the wrong beer. Basically a smoking bar with the pretense of a safe GF experience. VERY DISAPPOINTING!
