Most of the staff was not knowledgeable about gluten free other than knowing that it could be done. The sushi side also seemed rather confused, so I would stay away. However, the hibachi chef was very knowledgeable and I’ve seen other reviews saying the same. So I directed most of my questions to him and felt relatively safe eating there. It is not Celiac safe by any means. They cooked all of my food first with gf soy sauce but it was on a shared surface and the same utensils only cleaned with a rag briefly between. However, it was pretty much what I was expecting for a restaurant that doesn’t advertise as a gluten free facility or even have a gluten free menu. It wouldn’t be my first choice but if you are like me and get invited to go and don’t want to be the annoying person who asks everyone to change plans again, they do have options. Woke up with a slight headache from the cc but worth it to me for a fun night out with friends. Stay away if extremely sensitive to gluten.
