Stopped by for my 1st time and ordered the guac, salmon & veggies, and flourless chocolate cake. Everything was delicious and the server was very attentive to checking that what I wanted was safe! Small but delicious menu.

It was so good? They subbed out rice for the Chef's veggies for free when I told them I was GF due to allergies. Service was top notch, everything was super tasty, and the atmosphere was very chill and a great date with my hubs. Highly recommend.

We will never eat here again! It's true that Jack Allen's has great food and a gluten free menu but their wait staff is extremely unaware of the serious needs of the Celiac community.

We requested a gluten free menu upon our arrival and ordered directly from it. (My daughter has Celiac) when her food came to the table we noticed it had french fries on the plate. I told the waiter that the fries were not on the gluten free menu and that we needed a new meal prepared for her so that she wouldn't get sick. He assured me that the though the french fries were not on the GF menu they were indeed gluten free. I asked him to check with the chef to make sure this was true (in high sight I should have asked to speak to the chef myself). He left the table with her plate and came back telling me that they were indeed "completely gluten free according to our chef."

I let her eat them... and we had a lovely dinner. about 10 minutes after getting home my daughter was extremely ill and it was clear she had eaten gluten. I called Jack Allen's and asked the hostess if their french fries were gluten free. Her response, "No, they are not they are dusted in flower and fried in oil that also fries other items with gluten on them." I asked to speak to the manager right away and let her know what had happened. The response we got from Jack Allen's was "You should have known it was not safe as it wasn't on the gluten free menu."

I can let a waiter's mistake go it happens and eating out is a calculated risk. I won't do business with this company ever again because of how they handled the situation... it was inexcusable
