I've never actually eaten in the establishment before but I've ordered takeout a bunch of times. Recently got the Ed's Scramble with Udi's gluten free toast and cheesy grits and it was delicious. The toast comes with a housemade marionberry jam. I often get the gluten free pancake from here as well. Some of the gluten free items are marked on the menu and there are a fair amount of options, but they do make it clear that the kitchen is not gluten free.
Great food, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Ordered the Roasted Butternut Squash Benedict with no English muffin and with hashbrowns and it was delicious. Also tried out the gf pancake which was also delicious but I was so full from the Benny I couldn't finish it. Also ordered the chicken sausage on the side to try and it was also delicious. I probably should have used a thesaurus to find a synonym for delicious, but it just really was! :)
Fantastically kind wait staff. Cute atmosphere. Good hot cocoa. Gluten free options are listed on the menu. Can’t confirm safety for people with celiacs.
I ordered the GF strawberry pancakes and got sick. I believe they were GF, however, due to the chaotic atmosphere of Jam I believe they either made a mistake or cross contaminated with other foods. It was loud and crazy but the waiter was nice. They rush a lot in this place so in hindsight I am unsurprised that I got glutened.
Initially I didn’t feel SUPER confident as a celiac eating here, but they assured me they marked it as an allergy and made everything separate, and I didn’t get sick. No celiac friendly toaster or waffles, but their hash/scramble dishes are great and their menu does list pancakes that might be safe too! As long as you triple check gf safety with your server, I think this cute place is worth a visit!
My celiac son was able to eat here without getting sick. Disappointing that the GF waffles are not actually GF because they’re not made on a separate waffle iron. Otherwise a really great menu.
This is a super cute place, but while it might be gluten free friendly, it is not safe for celiacs. They make gf waffles, but they share an iron. They are clear on the menu that cross contamination is likely. I had gf bread and asked that they not toast it, and it was good. Homemade jam is amazing. Server was funny, and knowledgeable.
