I just called to confirm they still offer GF options. They informed me pasta is the only GF item they serve now because they had issues with cross-contamination. So, if you want pasta, give it a go.
We came here for dinner and we were not disappointed! They had gf fried items in a dedicated gf fryer. My husband has celiacs so he’s real sensitive to cross contamination and had zero issues with the gf fried seafood. It was delicious! I had the fried haddock and chips and everything was cooked to perfection. Fries were thick and well seasoned. Our waitress was able to assure us our food was in fact gf and was knowledgeable about celiacs.
As of the time of my visit, in late July 2023, there WAS indeed a dedicated fryer for fries, but NOT for the fried seafood that is marked GF on the menu. An important distinction for those planning what they might order. I ended up ordering a dinner and the waitstaff was accommodating, providing a lettuce “bun” alongside the fries which I suffered no ill effect from. A tasty meal!
The waitress was very responsive and pleasant when I told her I was celiac. She also asked if I had other restrictions and proceeded to tell me what was safe and not. She also double checked everything with the kitchen before placing the order. They have a gluten free batter and dedicated fryer too!!
There is no dedicated fryer and no offers to alter any item “we just won’t bring bread.” Disappointing after reading other reviews! Food was not very good, service slow. Definitely not worth the price!
Prepped my fried shrimp in gluten-free batter, and then fried in a dedicated fryer. The sides were steamed without butter according to my request, and everything was delicious. I am writing this three days later, and can state that I experienced no cross-contamination. Traveling with restrictions is difficult but this establishment has my trust. I can’t wait to go back!
