Echoing the prior comments, for being a total tourist stop, amazing to see how much of the menu is GF. They prepare a number of hot items in an oven so no fryer risk and prices are similar if not the same as gluten versions. Plus, packaged brownies.
Lot of gluten around of course so easy for others to eat too.
I spoke to one of the people who runs the Cafe, who also runs the restaurant “2nd Street Bistro”. He was incredibly knowledgeable in regards to Celiac and assured that everything is made separately and even has utensils dedicated to gluten free food. He even made a joke when I asked the common question,”well even though the ingredients are gluten free, is it prepared safely for Celiac’s?” He responded by saying,”Then it wouldn’t be gluten free” lol. They also have options for soups and chili which I thought was pretty cool. All their options, while there aren’t many, are listed in bold letters on the menu and for a museum, even one safe option is a great feeling for a Celiac!
