Family and I ate here for the Lunar New Year. We talked to the staff about my son's celiac status. They seemed confused, despite explaining this in Mandarin (we had a member of our party that was fluent). They pointed us to a menu with GF marked items, but many such items are made with soy sauce or black bean sauce that are definitely not GF. Even sticky rice (marked GF) isn't since it has Chinese sausage (which is made with soy sauce). We did our best to find something marked GF that was safe, but my son still left with stomach pain.
— Not at all
— Gluten-free items are marked on the main menu
— Not Much/None
— Good
I think it's weird that people say the staff doesn't know what gluten is, because they have a gluten-free menu. In my experience, there is frequently a language barrier, and only a handful of people speak fluent English. The gluten free website is on their website, so I just pull it up on my phone and point. Works like a charm. And I thought I'd never eat dim sum again!
Yes
They do not even know what "gluten" is... And we drove all the way there. Avoid!
