Review of Jasper's Italian Restaurant

I ate here all the time before my celiac diagnosis. Finally went back after inquiring about gluten free there. Chef Jasper said it was no problem at all. Once at the restaurant, the waiter and Jasper both explained they had GF pasta to sub in, none of the baked dishes like lasagne. Also no flour used in the sauces. My favorite dish from before I was Celiac turned out to be GF anyway-the pork shank served over risotto. I was so happy! No GF bread and Jasper lamented not too many desserts available for me. But I was pleased to have a scoop of gelato after a big dinner. I am glad to know I can go to one of my favorite restaurants in the city and still have plenty of options to choose from. No separate kitchen but it seems they take reasonable precaution against cross contamination.
