Jay's Steaks

Gluten free roll. They use Dietz and Watson lunch meats, all of which are gluten free, except for scrapple and brockwurst. We asked about procedures for keeping gluten separate while preparing and they said they keep gluten free rolls separate and wrapped in plastic. No gluten free fryer so we didn’t do fries and chicken tenders, but they were willing to change gloves when asked.

Was so happy to be in the area so I could have a cheesesteak for the first time in over 2 years. Jay’s steaks was fantastic! I got a classic cheesesteak and Italian hoagie. They don’t toast buns on the grill so there is minimal risk for cross contamination. The bread was unlike any other GF hoagie roll I’ve had before. So delicious and worth the trip! Did not get sick and I hope to be back!

Wow! The whole cheesesteak was delicious. The bread was so surprisingly good that I questioned whether it was truly gluten free, but I didn’t get sick so it’s not too good to be true! Can’t wait to eat here again. What a delight to have a yummy cheesesteak for the first time since celiac diagnosis.

I have celiac so I am very cautious where I eat. I have enjoyed eating here twice and they are terrific. They have GF rolls, they change their gloves, and they scraped the grill me when making my cheesesteak. Love this place and how concerned they are with your order

Gluten free steak sandwich. Yes please!

I have a dairy allergy so just went with a basic steak but it was delicious! Very think but juicy steak in a gluten free bun. Also felt like they took precautions but feel free to ask more when your here.

Found this gem of a food joint on this app when we were meeting family at Urban Air. Wife said she hasn’t had such a good gluten free roll ever. The cheesesteak selections are awesome and the knowledge of the staff extensive about celiac. Such a wide selection for a celiac to choose from given they have a great GF roll. Whole other family not GF also enjoyed our meals. Will certainly be back again!

I work at the bookstore next door to Jays. When they found out I had been diagnosed with a gluten and dairy sensitivity, they made accommodations and came up with a taco meal I could eat. They are so kind and fantastic food!!!

This was the first time eating here. The cheese steak on the gluten free roll was really good. Their roll was fresh, soft, and taste good. We will go going again.
