Safest I have felt in a sandwich shop as a celiac! I was very nervous the first time I went but the sweet girl making my sandwich (wish I could remember her name) was so sweet and understanding! Washed her hands, changed gloves, wiped down the counter, even tho gf bread never touches the counter and talked me through every ingredient that could have been contaminated that I should skip! Gf bread and knife for gf bread is kept on a top shelf and they bring out a squirt bottle for Mayo. I would stick to simple, most toppings are cross contaminated. Turkey/ham and cheese are sliced fresh to order. They also have gf udis cookies available as a side, individually packaged! Have never gotten sick!

I was in town for work and everyone ordered together. I called ahead and stressed that I needed gluten free and dairy free. I asked them to add bacon. My sandwich was delivered with cheese melted all over the contents. No bacon. I didn’t have lunch.

My experience at Jersey Mike’s was good I have celiacs and I have eaten at several even in California never had a reaction and I do have to carry a epi pen because my reaction is swelling of eyes, mouth and throat.
Love the separate prep area.

Jersey Mike’s is the only sub chain I trust to eat food from. They clean all equipment, change gloves, and get toppings from the back for my sandwich on gluten free udis sub. They have gluten free packaged snickerdoodles for dessert.
