Udi’s gluten free sub rolls! Good Sandwich!
The manager and staff are so accommodating and courteous, I just can't say thank you enough to them. The food is fresh and the GF rolls are pretty good. (They come wrapped up.)Their safety protocol is superb. They use a separate cutting board and knife, separate mayo, etc. and they wipe down the slicer before slicing the meat and cheese. Also, they change their gloves and they take great care in handling my sandwich.. Every. Single.Time. This celiac is very grateful to be able to have a sub once and awhile. Thank you, Jersey Mike's!
They offer gluten free rolls which are pretty good! They changed gloves before making my sandwich and used a separate mat and knife! (They do take the lettuce tomatoes onions and stuff from the same bin so I'm not sure if that would be cross contaminated. I'm sure if I asked they would have taken toppings from the back)
I'm not Celiac and they are new to carrying Udi's gluten free subs roll and the manager walked the worker through the process. I have always loved Jersey Mike's and was excited to find they now have gluten free subs $2 extra. I was impressed by the bread and the care that they took to keep from cross contaminating. The manager said this was new so as you watch them make your sandwich speak up if you see a problem. For right now until they are better trained, I would say not Celiac friendly.
Excellent bread! Looks like a real sub roll. Careful attention to preparation. They called out "gluten free! Change gloves!" The bread was placed on a paper lined tray and prepared on the tray, using new utensils, and gloves were changed at each station. Delicious. Will definitely visit again.
For the first time in over 2 years, I was able to eat an Italian sub! Jersey Mike's gluten free sub bread tasted so much like the real thing (and stayed together!), I couldn't believe it was gluten free. The staff (especially the manager Anthony) was so incredibly nice and understanding of the precautions needed in preparing food (I.e. Changing gloves without being prompted), it gave me a sense of calm I haven't felt while eating out gluten free.
Make sure you tell them if you have Celiac verses preference. They'll ask too!!! Thank you Sandy Springs! Dunwoody is behind the curve with this!
I have just found a real gem in the sand! Beings that I have not had a cheesesteak or hoagie in seven yrs., I decided to take a chance at Jersey Mike's. I am happy as a clam!!! Both the hoagies & cheesesteaks are out of this world. It was worth the wait. Tasty, good quality and not skimpy. The manager, Anthony is very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. His crew are as well. So if you are in need of a hoagie or cheesesteak fix definitely go to Jersey Mike's.
Midwest City store does not have gluten free bread.
Amazing food and great service! I used to love Jersey Mike's before I discovered my allergy, and I'm glad that I can still eat it! In fact, I prefer the rosemary gluten-free bread to the ordinary sub. A worker was extremely helpful, allowing us to purchase an additional roll to take home. I look forward to returning to Jersey Mike's.
Not all Jersey Mike's have them, but this one has Udi's GF rolls. When I said I had Celiac, he stopped the entire line, informed the other workers, they stripped off their gloves, wiped down the counter and cutting machine, and made my sandwich. I was so impressed I wrote to the company. The owner of that store wrote me back and said he has a family member with Celiac, so he understands.
This place is amazing. First off, I haven't had a "sub" style sandwich in over 4 years due to my gluten intolerance. I ordered the gf Italian, and the sweetest man helping me changed his gloves and brought out a contained tray with a gf roll, hand sliced the deli meat and communicated with each of the members that the order was GF. Literally, this place is a gem. Haven't found a better place! Also, the bread was HELLA good!!! Would give ten stars if I could!!
Super friendly location, very knowledgeable. I went during the morning hours when they just opened and felt super safe. Not sure at peak times what it would be like but the sub was good. I got italian, roll has great flavor but it is dry and crumbly, though still enjoyable and didnt get sick!
cannot express enough how it feels to walk into a place that is so knowledgeable and considerate of celiac safe! the rolls are amazing (olive oil and rosemary tasting)- they also let me know that larger roll options will be coming soon! all the toppings are gluten free & they cleaned the entire area before setting my roll down with different gloves too. staff was amazing & friendly!
I was able to go into this already VERY thoughtful sandwich establishment and they were very careful of my needs. I told them I was GF and they immediately said no problem ma'am. I'll clean up and get you taken care of. He not only changed his gloves, but washed his hands up to his elbows. He made my Sub in a Tub on a GF surface and the toppings came from a bin that was no where near the bread table. They keep all their ingredients for GF in an area that people making sandwiches and touching bread will not cross contaminate. Loved it and will go back.
Never gotten sick. They changed their bread from udis to a local bakery in the past few months. It makes for a different shaped sandwich but tastes fine. The bread is a little less dry than udis, which is a good change since I felt like I needed two drinks just to get an udis sandwich down. Never had a problem with the meat or cheese being non gf if I asked about it and didn't just assume ALL of it is, since that's not how the situation should be approached, ever.
Have gluten free bread and use a designated surface but unable to prevent cross contamination from shared toppings, so not safe for celiacs.
Unfortunately, I have gotten sick from their gluten free subs a few times. Not all times, but enough where I just avoid it altogether now. I enjoy how, as my sandwich gets passed down the line, it goes from carefully handled by people who switch their gloves and use a mat and a specific knife, to people who use the same gloves to handle and wrap up every sandwich. I pointed that out once and they all got super annoyed with me. Oh well. It's also ridiculously pricey! Uck If you don't have a bad sensitivity or allergy, by all means enjoy the expensive sub!
Jersey Mike's just added Udi's GF bread as an option. Young lady cleaned the meat slicer to ensure no cross contamination, cut the Udi's on a special board with a special knife, after she had changed her gloves. Wonderful! So great to be able to have someone make me a sandwich! I'll be sure to come back.
Owner's daughter has celiac. Tell them you are allergic and they change their gloves and prepare gluten free sub on dedicated board and knife. Love their subs! They use udis sub rolls - the small size (6"?) is plenty!
So great to have a sub again! Very GF aware
This place should not be on this app. Zero gf items. No gf bread. Not even knowledgable.
