I have celiac disease and the owner’s daughter has it too. All employees are trained in how to handle celiac and gluten allergies. They grabbed toppings from the back, different meat slicer, switched gloves, wiped counter space down and a completely separate knife. They made it the best experience!
We have always ordered online and have had no issues. Today we went into the store and watched them make it and we’re amazed! The staff used a separate cutting board, a separate area and knife without us even having to go into detail of why. They changed gloves in between orders as well. My fiancé has celiacs so it’s super appreciated the effort they took to avoid cross contamination!
We ordered four sandwiches, one GF. We received three in white paper and one in brown, no other labeling. My Celiac daughter ate several bites of her sandwich in brown wrapping before I realized it was regular bread. I went up to the counter to ask about labeling, and the manager said they don’t label but they would talk to corporate about that??!!
