Used a special surface for gf bread and new knife to slice it.
Asked if preference or allergy and then took my order and made it in the back to avoid cc. It was very busy in there but their training showed and I had a great experience.
Excellent! Even have Udi's Snicker doodle cookies

LOVE this place! I have Celiac Disease and they are very aware of cross contamination and very knowledgeable of what is safe on their menu. They will clean down all equipment and prepare it separately if need be! They also just started carrying an Udi's snickerdoodle cookie!!!
I eat here constantly! They take every available per caution to be celiac friendly... INCLUDING GETTING VEGGIES FROM THE BACK THAT HAVE NOT BEEN ON THE LINE. I often get the tuna, which they get from the back as well... the bread is udis and dry, so I always get extra mayo.
Tuna sub, add cheese, Mike’s way
13 mikes way extra mayo...

Always asks if it’s a preference or allergy. Makes the sandwich completely separate from other sandwiches. Great place.

They are extremely careful about cleaning the spaces, using a different cutting board and surface to prepare the sandwich. It is even good the next day and the bread wasn’t soggy!!!! If you ask they’ll get you fresh toppings from underneath the counter. They fresh cut the meats, clean the slicer, and change their gloves!
Impressed with how conscientious staff is here. Jersey Mike’s is doing celiac friendly gluten free right. A previous reviewer detailed the good process they have but singed this location out for not being celiac friendly because they pulled toppings from shared tubs. Fair enough but they will get toppings for fresh unused bins if you ask them to, which I do.
Yes
Not celiac friendly... here is how the visit went. I spoke to the employees and asked if they would be able to prepare an Italian gluten free sub without cross contamination. They said they would wipe everything down and prepare the GF sub by itself on the cleaned line, change their gloves, use a clean knife, and place the GF bun on parchment paper and its own cutting board. They did everything as stated. All employees involved with my sub changed their gloves and the meat slicer was wiped down thoroughly. Up to this point I was feeling pretty good about things and was appreciating their efforts. Then it was time for toppings... and disappointment. They grabbed lettuce and tomatoes from the same tubs they had been grabbing from while preparing regular subs. This involved handling regular bread, picking up a stack of tomatoes, putting a few slices on a sub, then putting the rest back... all now cross-contaminated. The lettuce and other toppings were the same. None are safe with the way they are being handled. You might do okay if you didn't get any toppings, but this particular Jersey Mike's does not have it right. I don't know if it is a training issue or not. It is disappointing because they are trying to do it right. Unfortunately, for celiac is do or do not, there is no try.
One final note, I did test a small piece of each ingredient on the sub with my Nima sensor and it did not find any gluten. I still did not eat it since such a small sample is unlikely to catch cross contamination.
I gave two stars instead of one for their efforts.

So awesome! I came in during the lunch rush, but they did not cut any corners. Super careful about preventing cross contamination and they have really great options!

I usually order through the app and pick it up so I can’t speak with full confidence on cross contamination, but the gluten free bread is really good. Best place to get a gluten free sandwich around the area. I don’t think I’ve ever felt sick from it.

I was IMPRESSED when I went in! They wiped the meat cutting machine down with soap & water, wiped all of the counters off, used a new, clean, & lined tray. I’ve been there twice & didn’t get sick either time!

Great people, careful with cross contamination every time I’ve been there so far. They only had 1 half of a GF bread left when I ordered a giant and they put the other half in a bowl for me and offered a free sandwich card for the trouble. Highly recommend every Jersey Mike’s for celiac-friendly sandwiches and this one was no exception.

I frequently get subs from this location and I have never had any issues. Gluten free bread is available as an option for each sandwich. Before preparation, the employees ask if it’s a preference or an allergy, and are extra careful not to cross contaminate if it’s an allergy (for me it’s an allergy). Everything is delicious! My favorite sandwich is the Classic Italian
