such a great chain to eat at!! they offer gluten free rolls or “sub in a tub”. just let them know it’s a gluten allergy/intolerance and they’ll change their gloves, knives, paper, etc. they’re great with accommodation.

Love that they have a GF option even though they’re not a gluten free joint.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well trained all the staff members were. Went in on a busy Saturday afternoon and every single person who participated in making my sub took caution. Without having to ask the workers changed gloves, used special mats and knives, etc.

We went early and were the second customer so it was not busy at all. The gentleman making our sandwich changed gloves and, at my request, got all toppings from the back. I felt safe and did not get sick 👍🏼

I have celiac and have eaten subs from here twice with no reaction at all. They are very diligent about changing their gloves, using a new knife, using a mat to put the bread on, and in general eliminating as much cross contamination as possible!

One time they were very careful about using a different machine that was clean to slice everything and put the bread on something else that was clean. Another time I really had to stay on top of them (ex: they didn't change gloves until I told them and they were going to put mayo on it from the same mayo knife they spread on all the others. It makes the spreadable toppings not a good idea.). The bread is Udi's brand and it's a good sandwich, but you may need to watch every step. I think when the owner/manager was there, it went well because he was instructing the person on what to do.

I was in town for work and everyone ordered together. I called ahead and stressed that I needed gluten free and dairy free. I asked them to add bacon. My sandwich was delivered with cheese melted all over the contents. No bacon. I didn’t have lunch.

My experience at Jersey Mike’s was good I have celiacs and I have eaten at several even in California never had a reaction and I do have to carry a epi pen because my reaction is swelling of eyes, mouth and throat.

Jersey Mike’s is the only sub chain I trust to eat food from. They clean all equipment, change gloves, and get toppings from the back for my sandwich on gluten free udis sub. They have gluten free packaged snickerdoodles for dessert.
