I haven't been to the Gunbarrel Road location, but I used to visit the original Jersey Mike's in Point Pleasant, NJ. Quite the business model. Frankly, I'd think local, Mom and Pop/ family owned sub shops would use better quality meats and cheeses than franchised joints. The original built it's reputation on great subs - generous portions, good quality meats, cheeses, and top shelf rolls
They slice bread and then use those same gloves to grab the meats and cheeses to put into the slicer. Every bit of those items are then cross-contaminated. After seeing that, I walked out and won’t go back.

The staff is very knowledgeable. They clean all surfaces before prepping the GF sandwich. The only thing I’d recommend is calling first to ensure they have the GF bread. More often than not they are out.
I was in town for work and everyone ordered together. I called ahead and stressed that I needed gluten free and dairy free. I asked them to add bacon. My sandwich was delivered with cheese melted all over the contents. No bacon. I didn’t have lunch.

My experience at Jersey Mike’s was good I have celiacs and I have eaten at several even in California never had a reaction and I do have to carry a epi pen because my reaction is swelling of eyes, mouth and throat.
Love the separate prep area.

Jersey Mike’s is the only sub chain I trust to eat food from. They clean all equipment, change gloves, and get toppings from the back for my sandwich on gluten free udis sub. They have gluten free packaged snickerdoodles for dessert.
