This is my favorite Jersey Mikes location. When you order gluten free bread, they assemble your sandwich in a tray so it doesn’t touch the surface other sandwiches were assembled on. They also offer pre packaged gluten free snickerdoodles. You can order gluten free bread for you sandwich or you can order it “in a tub” and they will put the sandwich fillings on a bed of lettuce.
I have celiac. This location was great first asked if it was allergy or preference to eat gluten free. Second they changed gloves and got separate tray to prepare my sandwich. Third when they passed my sandwich for lettuce tomatoes and other fixens the new preparer changed gloves and obviously took onions, lettuce and tomatoes from deeper untouched areas of the fixens! Totally cool to see without my needing to request those celiac needed preparing precautions. Thanks jersey mikes!!! Great training and follow through!!!
Based on a review here, we stopped at Jersey Mike’s while traveling. The employee was knowledgeable, and immediately changed her gloves and got a sanitized tray to prepare my sandwich on before getting the Udi’s gluten free sub roll. She prepared my entire sandwich with clean utensils / knife and kept my sandwich on the tray to minimize the risk of cross contamination. It was a great experience, and my sandwich was also great!
There’s no reason this place should only have 3 stars. I always order on the app and put a comment saying “I have a gluten allergy, if you could please take the necessary precautions” and they have never let me down. A few times they even labeled my sandwich with a smiley face. I’ve watched them make it in person without them knowing I’m the one who ordered that to go order, and they do everything right every time. Squeeze mayo instead of the big tub with the reused knife, a clean tray, fresh gloves, the whole 9. They are very aware of celiac and CC and you can’t go wrong here. It’s my go to in emergencies
Absolutely terrible. I let them know the situation and they didn’t change gloves or utensils and my 10 year old now is in the airport bathroom puking and we have a 12 hour flight and airport time ahead of us I’m so angry
I watched them wipe the bread area off with a cloth towel (tons of gluten everywhere, which is expected in that area. They then took that exact towel and wiped the meat station. I then politely told them I wasn't going to order, as there was too much gluten. There's 100% chance of cross contact when they wiped the meat slicer with the gluten filled towel.
They have a GF procedure when you state it's an allergy
