Decent sandwich chain with rewards program. Gluten free regular and giant rolls that are kept frozen, not unusual, are decent. Lots of types of sandwiches. Some are ok for GF folks and some aren’t. The service is interesting. They don’t answer their phone often, especially during peak times, and said that’s their policy. So if a problem with an order that is delivered (like an erroneous sandwich) …. What do you do? Drive there? Defeating the purpose of a delivery? Told if you say “allergy” they will clean prep area, clean knife and change gloves. Happy they have GF bread.
This Jersey Mike’s has been my refuge in times of restaurant crises, and I’m so grateful to have it nearby. The staff are always very gracious and—bonus!—you can watch them follow their pretty strict GF protocol right before your eyes. Separate knives and cutting board, prep equipment, gloves, and a full wipe-down of the deli slicer prior to preparation.
I am visiting and found that Jersey Mike’s has GF bread and prepares in a dedicated GF area with its own toppings separate from the regular sandwich area. They also have GF chips and a GF cookie by Udis to get with a drink if you want the meal.
They were all very knowledgeable as I did call first and then when I came into the store I asked again.
No issues and am hopeful that this is the same with all of their locations!
Completely misled. What a waste. Asked for gluten free and the employees changed their gloves like they knew what gluten free meant. I ordered the Philly cheese steak so all the I ingredients would be in the grill and I wouldn’t take the lettuce, tomato, etc, which I knew was contaminated. While my meat was cooking the employee took another person’s gluten bread and started cooking it in the grill next to my meat. They said they always do this! So nothing here is gluten free or safe for celiacs except the bread. Such a disappointment!!
I was very impressed with there service. They were are super nice and knowledgeable. They cleaned the machines and wiped everything down before preparing my sandwich. They use a tray and a sandwich wrapper to make my sandwich on. The sandwich was yummy and I haven’t had one since being diagnosed with celiac. The only thing I was worried about what the veggies . They use the ones they use for everything. So far so good though
