I ate here two days in a row due to my daughters softball tournament in town. On the second day, I even did an internet order and I had no problems! Some Jersey Mikes roll their eyes and tell me they can’t accommodate GF sandwiches. This location did a great job.

I have heard of the glory that is Jersey Mike’s but don’t live close to one. I was on a road trip and saw this location and thought I would give it a go. I was impressed from start to finish. As soon as I said ‘I have celiac’ the young man went to work wiping off the counter (using 2 separate towels), changing his gloves and the knives. I also liked that they sourced my toppings carefully, making sure they wouldn’t have bread crumbs on them. I think I might have thanked them 15 times durning the process. As someone with celiac, the peace of mind that comes from watching your food prepared carefully is wonderful. Now if only they’d open one near me!

I can't say enough good things about Jersey Mike's for Celiac people like myself. Love the online order feature. They'll change gloves and knives for you and use a protective piece of paper as it goes down the line for other toppings. The gluten free bread itself is super delicious. Some days it can be a little stale but I honestly don't even mind. Super great sandwich! Thank you Jersey Mike's!!!

The staff will change gloves, clean the cutting saw, use produce that has not gotten crumbs on them, use a mayo container from a cupboard. They do have gluten free bread.

Have Udi's bread, and take incredible precautions for celiac protection (compared to other sandwich shops I've visited). Everyone changed gloves, wiped everything down, and still pulled a wide paper mat on a tray to make the sandwich, so it never actually touched the regular work surface. Not a dedicated facility, but have good practices.

As soon as I told them of my gluten allergy, they stopped what they were doing, immediately told all staff members, and every proper precaution was taken to prevent cross-contamination: wiping down all equipment and counters, individually wrapped gluten free bread, separate utensils, even separate condiments. Staff was also very accommodating and friendly. I felt safe here. The sandwich was also very good! And the quality of their gluten free bread is great: not chewy but still holds together well.

Udis gluten free bread. Knowledgeable staff. Never been sickš
They don’t offer a kid’s gluten free sandwich so I had to buy my daughter an adult sandwich. However she loved the bread. She had the tuna. The staff were knowledgeable and took proper precautions.

This location (on University) does not follow the gluten-free protocol! I go to Jersey Mikes often as a safe option while traveling. Today, I ordered a GF sub (specifying for an allergy) and the manager instructed the employee to make it on the regular slicer so they wouldn’t have to clean the gluten free one again. I asked if he could please use the GF slicer, and he did… without changing his gloves. Then, he carried it over to the regular line and used the non-GF knife and veggies. I asked if he could please use the separate GF area that was all set up and he said “this was how they always do the GF orders.” The manager and other employees saw this and did not say anything. I did not eat my sub.

Called ahead to verify that they have gluten free bread, which they do. Awesome! When I got there the place was super busy, and I almost left out of fear that I would slow the process down even more. Decided to stay and give it a chance. The person at the meat slicer wiped down the area and slicer when I told him I needed everything gluten free. He was amazing about it. I had to ask them to grab fresh ingredients from the back though, because the person adding the toppings just wanted to use what was up front. They weren’t thrilled with getting stuff from the back, but they did do it. Overall it was a decent experience.

Great celiac-safe protocols. When I mentioned “gluten free” the staff immediately changed their gloves, used a separate knife, and put paper down to avoid contact with the cutting board. They also have Udi’s snickerdoodle cookies!

They have GF sub sandwich rolls! Possible cross contamination but they were careful in preparation. My sandwich was the best Ive had in such a long time! It’s so nice to be able to have a ’normal’ meal along with the rest of my family! They also have an option to make your sandwich a meal with a drink and chips or even an individually packaged GF udis cookie!
