This place is pretty good. I enjoyed the gf sub I had made.
Was great to get to eat a sub again. The staff was very smart. And checked things as we built my sandwich
Fantastic, clean, and very knowledgeable staff. I was very comfortable eating here.
They do a really great job at ensuring your sub is safe! š
I think the staff here is great! Very nice! When I say allergy they change their gloves and make the sandwich on a separate area and cut it with a different knife. Definitely expensive for a gf sandwich (footlong with a drink + chips will come to around 20$) but worth it in a bind
I have been here a million times as they always take great care of me. When I ask for gluten free bread I tell them I am celiac and they will need to change their gloves. They clean the meat/cheese board completely, all change their gloves, and never have my sandwich directly on the board that touches gluten. I am very pleased with this location as it is their policy to do these steps.
Well trained staff, in regard to GF preparation. So very accommodating to the special needs of the GF order (no one ever sighs or rolls their eyes!). And this sandwich is SO great, SO fresh and DELICIOUS-every time! Great Job Jersey Mikeās!!
2nd time going. Very clean and very aware of the importance of a clean work space. Happy customer
I told them I had a gluten allergy and they said they couldnāt confirm if their meat is GF so I immediately left and went to Jimmy Johns across the street. Will never go back, mostly because of the fact that the people working there didnāt care at all, whether the meat is GF or not.
very bad exp here.... the guy used the same knife and mayo that is used for all the regular subs... instead of using seperate one. Then yelled at me that cross contamination is always possible because I questioned it. If you are celiac... don't go here!
This place was awesome! I felt completely safe eating here! They were very knowledgeable about celiac disease. The Udiās rolls are delicious and kept sealed until ordered. They changed their gloves, used a clean knife, and put down paper while preparing my order. I saw they had Udiās cookies (I did not order). The girl at the register let me know which chips were gluten free. She even asked me about my celiac and wished me well. My regular sub was not much smaller than my husbandās regular roll. There is a slight up charge for the gluten free rolls. Would highly recommend!
I appreciate their efforts, but the gluten free bread falls apart and it is not tasty at all. I miss the taste of their hoagies. They really are delicious.
This location did a great job making sure the area was clean to prepare my boyās sandwich. They changed gloves, cleaned the meat slicer and the counter. They were very conscientious about how they made his sandwich and used Udiās bread. The staff has obviously been trained well and my boy is feeling good since eating here. Weāll be back!
While they did change their gloves and clean the slicer, they took turkey right from the front and then dug their hands into the general lettuce bin - cross contamination everywhere.
Excellent service and absolutely no cross contamination. Love Jersey Mikeās!
They do not understand cross contamination
They took all the necessary precautions to make my GF sandwich safe. It was wonderful!
4th Jersey Mikeās Iāve ordered GF in, 1st to make me nervous. Slicer is surrounded by bread and covered in crumbs, my sub was messed up twice while making it. Had I wanted a cold cut which Iāve ordered in the past at other locations, it would have been a no go given the condition of the slicer. Will not return to this one. True Celiacs like me: skip this location
Contaminated sub twice while making it. Their GF bread was ridiculously stale. Like crunchy stale. Which was great after they had to remake it because they contaminated it. Avoid.
UPDATE: I was contacted by Bryan and he apologized for my experience. He realized when I left that he could have handled things differently. To make a long story short, I returned a few weeks later and had a very positive experience. The slicer was cleaned, my sandwich was made on a clean surface with a clean knife and veggies were brought out from the back. My sandwich was free and I received a coupon for another free lunch. I will return and feel confident that my first experience was a one time deal. I went in for the first time today. I didnāt get anything because they said they couldnāt get fresh veggies from the back, even when I said it could be cross contact regardless of them changing gloves. Itās unfortunate, because other locations are very accommodating.
Staff made my sub in the back, away from the area they make subs to prevent cross contamination. Gluten free bread.
Amazingly great food. Took the time to clean the grill before cooking my food on it. Changed gloves. And washed there hands. Extremely amazing care to make sure it was done right. Food tased amazing. Friendly and nice service as well.
I have celiac and eat at this chain all the time. I have had this location twice since I have been visiting in Florida. I always get the philly steak and cheese. The Gluten free bread is great and you can also buy a pre packaged gf cookie!
From the moment I asked if there was gluten free options the young lady behind the counter seemed very inconvenienced and annoyed. Its been so long since I have been treated like this that I was really surprised. I ended up not ordering any food and leaving. I wasnāt too trusting of the process anyways when she laid down a piece of paper on top of the dirty counter to prepare the sandwich. Iām assuming the sandwich would have been wrapped in this paper... hence contaminating the whole meal. We left before she made the sandwich because she said we couldnāt get a kid sized sandwich because she didnāt know how to charge us extra for that? Oh well. I always wondered why this place always shows up in the Find me GF app. Now I know itās because they āmight have gluten free breadā sometimes. But donāt expect them to treat you with kindness or make your sandwich carefully.
Finally a place to get a gf sub! Most subs can be made gluten free with Udiās bread (available in 2 sizes). They are actual subs/grinders and not just crumbly bread! I did go home and put mine in the toaster oven to get it a little bit crispier but it would have been delicious either way. I ordered online on my way home from work and it was ready to go when I arrived. Canāt wait to try more from them!
Great service. Staff cleaned prep area and changed gloves during our service. Subs were spectacular. Definitely will be coming back to Jersey Mikes.
Take their time to clean everything before making my sandwich. Never had an issue.
They were amazing! My son wanted a hot sandwich so they cleaned off the whole grill for him. They used different gloves and a different cutting board. The bread is wonderful and the service is even better.
First time ordering a hoagie/sub on a udi roll. I found the roll really dry, but not too bad.Overall hoagie was tasty and I would order again.
Very amazed by the staff, completely took care of precautions to make sure my food was gluten free. I would recommend it to everyone! Great experience!!
Lots of options including gf bread. They have been very good about being careful to avoid cross contamination. Weāve eaten here so many times and Iāve never had an issues.
They had gluten free sub rolls and we were thrilled. First sub since going gluten free!
AMAZING for Celiacās! Staff are all aware of allergies and change their gloves too without even asking. Bread is a bit dry (but itās Udiās so you can pretty much expect that), so just add some condiments and youāll be happy. Delicious, had my first Philly cheesesteak in YEARS!
Very good about cross contamination! Loved my sub had the turkey and cheese with bacon lettuce, onion and tomato with their special sauce (oil and vinegar salt and pepper I believe) and it was amazing! Didnāt get sick also they have udis gluten free cookies!!! Get a whole meal, sandwich, chips, cookie and a drink!!! Happiness!
They have separately wrapped gf rolls! Just ask them to clean the counter and change their gloves. Have eaten here a few times and no problems yet.
Staff were very accommodating, and the sub was delicious!
Was extremely sick mintues after eating.... If could leave 0 stars!
This is a great jersey mikes location for gluten free. They clean everything down and change their gloves. I wish all locations were this careful
Iāve eaten at this location four times now. They are willing to stop and wipe down all the equipment and prepare the sandwich on paper so it doesnāt touch the counter top. Theyāll change gloves and use different knives. Also- they are preparing the food in front of you- so it makes it easy to confirm the practices are what you need.
They have an Udiās pre-wrapped roll. They change gloves, are very careful with the wax paper, have a dedicated knife, squeeze bottle for mayo, and will either wipe down everything or make your sandwich in the back where no bread is prepared (ask backroom preparation for Celiac). Very patient. Eaten there many times will no reaction.
When the staff found out it was my daughterās very first sub (who has Celiac) they went all out!! Wiped down the machine used to cut the meat, very careful about changing gloves, using fresh produce. We will definitely be back!!
Have eaten here 3 times in past month with no problems. Got pepperoni and provolone on GF bread, āMikeās Wayā which means with oil/vinegar and spices. Staff changes gloves and cuts meat/cheese on dedicated cutter. But they do take lettuce, tomato and onion from containers they are grabbing out of when making wheat sandwiches which could result in trace amount of cross contamination. I get extra oil/vinegar as bread is a little dry. I have not gotten sick and it is nice to have sandwich option.
Iāve always had a good experience with Jersey Mikeās - they take the time to clean and change gloves and prepare my sand which in a safe space.
First time here and (I think) the manager assured me my options will be safe and even gave me a gf cookie! Bread and cookie are Udis brand. She also gave us free sub coupons! Very kind. Will be back for sure!
They have gluten free bread and prepare your sandwich in the back in a special area with clean utensils.
They do a great job and must have been trained recently. They change gloves, use separate equipment and condiments.
Nothing but positive experiences here. When my husband walks in the staff get out the special cutting board and gloves. They are careful and it is such a welcome treat to be able to walk into a regular sub shop!
This is a gamble If youāre truly celiac, and not gluten sensitive. I had a reaction 1 time, and 1 time I did not. Gluten sensitive may be ok. Iād assume there was cross contamination somewhere with my order.
They offer a gluten free sub roll, and from my experience-they sanitize the counter before preparing it. Expensive but good
Had a cheesesteak with no problems. Let them know that there is a gluten allergy and that it's not just a preference. The GF roll for the sub was much better than anticipated!
I havenāt had a sub in a long and boy have they changed! The bread is soft and not dry like it used to be. They asked me if it was an allergy or preference and when I said allergy they wiped down the counters and the meat slicer, changed gloves, and kept my sub on the sandwich paper the whole time. Maybe not 100% certainty but they certainly did their best!
They offer Udiās Gluten Free bread. They asked if I had a gluten allergy and because of that they then made my sandwich in the back where it wouldnāt be contaminated with their regular line. I really enjoyed my turkey sub sandwich! And I will be back. They also offered prepackaged gluten-free cookies but I didnāt have one on my first visit.
