I Ordered a GF giant and a GF regular. Before ordering I made sure to tell them we have celiac and cross contamination needs to be taken very serious, making sure they could accommodate us. The guy helping me assured me he changed his gloves after I asked, but then cut the GF breads with a contaminated knife. Luckily my 11 year old caught it and the guy asked if we wanted new rolls. Of course we did, he was very nice about it. He then asked another employee to grab cheese from the back. She came back carrying it loose in her gloved hands. I had to ask if her gloves had touched gluten. She told me they were new ( which idk if that's true or not bc I wasn't watching her) after placing my new rolls that were put onto the same paper wrap (🙄) as the rolls that were cut with the dirty knife. They carried them to the gluten free station. The girls who's name started with an L kindly changed her gloves. I asked if I could get oregano on 1 hoogie and on the side for another. The girl who was doing that used the oregano from the GLUTEN station. When I questioned her she was visibly irritated and said it doesn't matter bc it's just the stuff inside the shaker. But I then had to say yes I understand but once she put it down the other employee immediately grabbed the top ( the part with the holes) with gluten contaminated gloves to prepare whatever she was making. So that shaker is obviously contaminated with gluten AND at the gluten station, why not just use the one from the gluten free station. She was annoyed and threw away the first one she made and made another, with barely any oregano inside. They also forgot to put oregano on my hoogie, and I asked for 2 sides of oil/vinegar for both hoogies but they only gave me 1. On top of that It was a $5 up charge of gluten free rolls. Needless to say once we got home, we felt uneasy about the whole thing and gave the hoogies to a non gluten free family member to avoid getting contaminated and sick.
Ps. I apologized for being an inconvenience to them about 10 Times
Employees need to be better trained in cross contamination and protocol of allergy and food safety.

Told the workers i had celiac and they ensured their gloves were changed and any ingredients besides the meat and cheese was taken from a separate station to avoid contamination. They were super helpful and kind to me.

I got a chicken cheesesteak and my dad got a beef one. They were both very good. The staff were excellent and followed all the procedures.

I was so excited to try a sub because it’s been so long since I had one. So when I found out about jersey mikes I was excited. When I told them I was celiac/gluten allergy they started to make my sandwich. She wiped down the counter with a rag and hand to clean breadcrumbs but then used the same rag to clean the slicer that was going to be used to slice the meat that was going on my sandwich. She went to change her gloves but didn’t wash her hands. When I told her I was highly allergic, she said well I can slice meat in the back because it pretty much only slices onions, you aren’t allergic to onions are you? I immediately stopped her from making my sandwich and left.

They offer all of their cold and hot subs on a gluten free roll!
So awesome! I came in during the lunch rush, but they did not cut any corners. Super careful about preventing cross contamination and they have really great options!

I usually order through the app and pick it up so I can’t speak with full confidence on cross contamination, but the gluten free bread is really good. Best place to get a gluten free sandwich around the area. I don’t think I’ve ever felt sick from it.

I was IMPRESSED when I went in! They wiped the meat cutting machine down with soap & water, wiped all of the counters off, used a new, clean, & lined tray. I’ve been there twice & didn’t get sick either time!

Great people, careful with cross contamination every time I’ve been there so far. They only had 1 half of a GF bread left when I ordered a giant and they put the other half in a bowl for me and offered a free sandwich card for the trouble. Highly recommend every Jersey Mike’s for celiac-friendly sandwiches and this one was no exception.

I frequently get subs from this location and I have never had any issues. Gluten free bread is available as an option for each sandwich. Before preparation, the employees ask if it’s a preference or an allergy, and are extra careful not to cross contaminate if it’s an allergy (for me it’s an allergy). Everything is delicious! My favorite sandwich is the Classic Italian
