They asked right away if my gf was preference or allergy, everything looked clean and they even have a gf cookie option!

Celiacs beware. They have GF (Udis) buns, but use the same prep area and condiments. While they change gloves, they are using those new gloves in the lettuce, tomato etc bins that they/colleagues were using with glutened gloves. And the surface where they place the bread is just swiped off/not cleaned. If you avoid gluten, then likely not a big deal, but a dealbreaker for celiacs. I’ve heard other locations have more space/protocols to accommodate but not this one. Bummer.

We’ve had great luck at this location. The employees are quick to change gloves and move to a dedicated gluten free prep area. They use udis sandwich rolls which are pretty good.

I was in town for work and everyone ordered together. I called ahead and stressed that I needed gluten free and dairy free. I asked them to add bacon. My sandwich was delivered with cheese melted all over the contents. No bacon. I didn’t have lunch.

My experience at Jersey Mike’s was good I have celiacs and I have eaten at several even in California never had a reaction and I do have to carry a epi pen because my reaction is swelling of eyes, mouth and throat.
Love the separate prep area.

Jersey Mike’s is the only sub chain I trust to eat food from. They clean all equipment, change gloves, and get toppings from the back for my sandwich on gluten free udis sub. They have gluten free packaged snickerdoodles for dessert.
