Don’t know why it took me so long to try Jersey Mike’s but wow was I missing out. Ordered ‘Mike’s Philly Chicken’ on a gluten free sub roll and I have no complaints. Tasted great, the sub roll didn’t fall apart instantly like most others I’ve tried and no issues whatsoever in terms of feeling sick after, etc. The staff notes my celiac disease and changed gloves, etc. I also had the jalapeño chips after and seemingly had no issues there either. (Little extra tidbit-they also have Udi’s gluten free cookies by the register). Overall, a great experience and I’ll surely be back!
Our GF family has subs here about once a month. When we order in person, the manager or a senior staff person will make the sandwiches. They change gloves and clean the space. It's appreciated that they are friendly and don't seem to mind taking the extra steps for safety.
I love how they completely clean the area or use a different area to make my sandwich on GF roll. Never had a problem here. I only wish they offered GF in mini size.
Placed an online order with both regular and gluten free items. I arrived early for pickup & watched them prepare the one GF sandwich- following all the cleaning protocols… even with other customers in line.
Gf bread comes from an individually sealed bag. It’s soft. They make the sandwich on a new tray and paper, so it doesn’t come in contact with the counter. You do need to ask them to change their gloves and there’s a potential for cross-contamination with the toppings. I didn’t ask them to get new toppings from a separate container, but I’m sure you could.
