Amazing!! Great service! Great food.
Nothing but good food every time we go
Excellent food. Totally gluten free facility. Really enjoyable meal. Highly recommended.
GF restaurant! Fried onion rings! Chicken and waffles! Good food, reasonable prices, good environment.
Dedicated gluten free bakery. Uses oat flour, which a lot of people with celiac can't eat. I didn't get to try a lot of food because I also have a dairy allergy and there were only a very few things to try. I ended up eating a vegan cookie, which was tasty but definitely disappointed everything else had dairy in it.
Delicious! We traveled from out of town and were so thrilled to have a celiac safe treat. We had cheeseburgers and grilled cheese and breakfast at noon. Delish!
For sure the best gluten free restaurant. The food selection is so wide and they also have new good additions to the menu. Even the bakery section is wide and always fresh. Highly recommend
This is by far our favorite place in Phoenix. It is entirely gluten-free, everything on the menu is delicious and the staff is wonderful. Double-plus bonus: the bakery has new and tasty things all the time, so there is always something fantastic to take home.
EVERYTHING is gluten free here and the food is amazing! We had chicken and waffles and the biscuits and gravy and it was delicious!! Highly recommend if you are in the area.
The fried chicken dishes!!!! Yumm!!!!
Dedicated gluten free restaurant, delicious food, best pancake I have had in years. I’m celiac and I had no trouble with the food. It’s great to be able to choose from the entire menu!
Amazing everything!!!! All gluten free!
Can't get enough of the smothered clucker and the chicken and waffles. We go here every morning while on vacation from out of town, great way to start a celiacs day!
They have very good food and very good desserts. It depends on who you get as a server but sometimes the wait is very long but worth it.
Delicious and many options. Server was awesome!
Amazing pancakes! Cool environment, and tasty desserts to take home
The chicken and waffles were amazing. Also took home a delightful scone and a biscotti. I wish it wasn't so far from my house.
This place is "dedicated gluten free" but uses oat flour in everything. Oat isn't safe for all celiacs, and to be honest, oat flour behaves so similarly to wheat flour that it doesn't take an expert-level amount of skill to make non-vegan baked goods with oat flour. I just wasn't real impressed with this place. Spouse and I did manage to have a vegan oat-free lunch, with buffalo cauliflower bites (the breading is rice panko), tacos, and sweet potato fries, which were all delicious. The cauliflower served the hot sauce on the side, and the ranch dip is vegan. I was pretty disappointed that one of the few dedicated-gf places in the Phoenix area is using oat flour in everything. While they may used certified gf oats, using oats alienates a subset of celiacs who can't tolerate them. And I would hope that a dedicated gf business would want as many celiac dollars as they could get. I didn't check out the restrooms, but the space is somewhat wheelchair friendly. In fact, I wasn't the only wheelchair user when I visited. The ramp from the parking lot wasn't very good, but that's not the cafe's fault. They also close pretty early in the afternoon. If I'm in the neighborhood, I might come back here, but I wouldn't be excited to recommend this place to anyone with celiac. It's great for the gf-fad-followers though.
I Stumbled upon this cafe today & it was amazing!!! I had their chicken & Waffles. Wow!! Delicious!! Its a 100% GF restaurant. So glad I found it!!
Everything is excellent!!
The food was phenomenal. We had chocolate chip waffles, pancake and caramel apple waffles. All excellent. So nice to take my daughter somewhere that we don't have to worry and the food was great.
Everything here is amazing! so happy I can eat anything here ANYTHING!! So worth the 35 minute drive!!
Came for breakfast & enjoyed the amazing flavors of biscuit & gravy for me & the chorizo omlet for my husband. The food was delicious & we'll definitely be back before we leave Phoenix.
dedicated gluten free!! I have been diagnosed Celiac for 4 years. Jewel's is truly a wonderful treat. Fantastic donuts, fried chicken and waffles, biscuit (dense) and gravy ( had rosemary in it, usually not much of a rosemary fan but it added a nice light touch). Friendly staff, eclectic decorations, relaxed atmosphere. The waitress was very busy but never made us feel rushed. We will be back!
Great food that the whole family could enjoy even though only one needs GF.
Absolutely amazing. By far the BEST gf breakfast I have ever had in all of my travels since becoming celiac 5 years ago. Dedicated gf facility, didn't have to ask questions regarding food prep and safety. Truly a treat when traveling with celiac. Food was so good that I almost thought it wasn't gf! My husband (a complete foodie and non-gf) said it was also one of the best breakfast places he has ever been to. Loved the pancakes so much that we bought the mix to take back home with us.
O.M.G. Fried chicken sandwich, French fries, onion rings and Carmel apple cheesecake 100% safe. In a restaurant Feeling "normal" without concern, imagine.
I can't say enough good things about this place. Outstanding options for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Everything GF. Cocktail menu too.
Fantastic food and pastries! Great service.
Most incredible gluten free food in the whole entire valley. Amazing wait staff, quick and friendly service. My weekly go to.
Friendly service, delicious food. Visiting from out of town... we will go back! The syrup is amazing on waffles or pancakes!
it is so great to eat somewhere everything is safe and no concerns of cross contamination. lots of sammies and salads. everything was tasty. Chocolate chip cookies esp. good.
I met her at the expo and purchased some goodies and her pancake batter. My family loves it. My 8 yr puts it, it doesn't taste gluten-free- they taste like a regular pancake! 💗 Can't wait to make the trip into the cafe. I agree you need to have a place out west. Their is alot of people in the Buckeye area that are in need and would support your business!
First time to have chicken and waffles in years! Just like I remembered, perfect combo. Very friendly service. Will eat here every time I visit Phoenix. Please open a spot in the airport!
All of the bakery items are divine. The menu items are all pretty good, but I definitely prefer the bakery items. I'm not a fan of their homemade sausage, it lacks any flavor complexity and is too heavy on the onion. But, for a celiac it is a safe and delightful, delicious, dining out option.
Wife loves this place. I cant wait to try it. She drives 30 miles to eat hear because there are so few gf options in the West Valley. Please open another location out west.
Our new favorite place!
Best place to eat if you are a celiac! waffles are amazing!
So awesome! Had the chicken and waffles and it was delicious! My husband is not GF and he said it was the best he's ever had! Everything is GF!
Feeling safe in a restaurant is a rare thing indeed! Incredible treat, coffee and food to eat, along with a happy friendly staff! No gluten is allowed anywhere near the place. Even the staff, if they bring their own lunches, are required to adhere to the gluten free promise. Try it, you will love it and feel safe!
EAT HERE! Heaven. Had gf chicken & waffles for the first time ever, and they were so good my non-Celiac husband ordered a second waffle. Beef stroganoff was also good. Just wish they weren't out of donuts by the time we got there! :)
Outstanding selection, and quality! The fried chicken and waffle was amazing, the donuts light and delicious. So nice to have so many choices: not only gluten free but vegan, and dairy free options. Planned my return before I even left.
It's always a relief to find a dedicated GF restaurant so I don't have to negotiate my meal. I ordered chicken and waffle and really liked it, and my husband enjoyed his beef stroganoff. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic, and we were served quickly (we arrived around 5 pm for an early dinner). The waffle was crisp..and every bit as good as one made with wheat - we really couldn't tell the difference. The baked goods looked yummy, but we were too full to try them. I would definitely eat there again when I'm in Phoenix.
I used to live in AZ and it wasn't until I moved out of state that I was diagnosed with Celiac. I travel to AZ frequently so I was more than pleasantly surprised upon a return trip to stumble across Jewels. To be completely honest my first thought when it came up on the app was "oh thank goodness ANOTHER gluten free bakery to help fulfill my baked good desires" (anyone with Celiac gets this...if you don't get it, get Celiac and you'll understand!) I reluctantly decided to try it with my visiting parents (my mom also has Celiac) and pleasantly surprised would be unfair to say. The food is unbelievable and the portions are, let's just say you're gonna be satisfied for a few hours when you leave minus the bloating! While the Chicken and Waffles have remained my favorite (it was the first thing I ever tried), everything and I mean EVERYTHING on the menu is delicious. I live in Vegas and am constantly trying to talk them into opening here because in addition to the food, the syrup they give you for the waffle is something special. I highly recommend this awesome restaurant to anyone....and even better they are now open for dinner, which means more trips to AZ!
I had been eating here when I would travel into town for work the past few years and while the food was fantastic, I could not figure out why I would get extremely sick every time I visited Phoenix. It turns out, it was Jewel's that was making me ill. I cannot eat oats (on top of having celiac disease) and on my first visit here when I asked the staff about what items contained oats, they said "Oh you'll be fine, just avoid the items with oats on top." Turns out, just about everything has oats in it, which I did not discover until a recent trip to town. I'm not sure if the staff was playing some sort of trick on me because they just assumed that I was lying or over exaggerating, however it was extremely disappointing to discover because I had become extremely ill multiple times prior and never made the connection because this is such a loved and well known business with the reputation of being safe for celiacs and individuals with additional food sensitivities. The food here is absolutely phenomenal but if you have any form of additional food sensitivity I would be cautious as the staff did not appear to answer my initial inquiries seriously and I paid the price because of it.
had a burger on flax seed roll. I believe I ate.the cow, along with what the cow ate... the roll did not warrant a return visit
they use oats in everything. literally. they even said the omelette has a high probability of cross contamination. most celiac are also allergic to oats and it seems this place is cutting as many gluten free corners as possible to serve the fad gluten free people instead of true celiacs. drove 30 minutes to waste my time. extremely disappointed
Gluten free chicken and waffles - need I say more???
I called to ask about their use of oats in their products. They were short with their answers to my questions and not friendly or helpful. I found out they use oats in their flour mix so all of their bakery products and a lot of their cafe products contain oats. As a Celiac that cannot do any kind of oats, I will not be eating here.
Very good tasting food. Even my non celiac wife loved he food. It is worth giving it a try. The bakery items are a welcome treat to take home for later.
