Everything is phenomenal. My family LOVES this place, can we please get one in the west valley???
I ordered for delivery, because they have a company that now delivers,so I was excited! I ordered onion rings, because people raved about them, and a bagel egg and bacon sandwich. I was sadly disappointed with the food, and it was not the fault of the delivery service. The onion rings we're horribly greasy, and very limp and old. The bagel was dry, not butter or condiments, and the bacon was rock hard. The potatoes were inedible. I was so excited to have this meal, and am now sorry I ordered it. Maybe it's better if you go in person and eat there. I wonder
Completely gluten free! I had the Mac and cheese, buffalo cauliflower bites and my husband had a cheeseburger with onion rings. All was amazing, and I did not get sick afterwards!
Wow! This place is amazing!!!!!!! Everything is gluten free, and the food is spectacular. I stayed in Phoenix for a couple of days and came here three days in a row (that’s how good it is). I had chicken and waffles with a delicious buttery honey sauce. I hadn’t had fried chicken like that in a VERY long time. Didn’t feel sick after eating it, it’s a miracle!
I wish I could like this place because they do have good tasting, good looking items, and it is all gluten free. But I've always gotten the feeling that they really aren't very "into" the bakery part time of their business. This was confirmed by a bad customer service experience recently. They make tasty cupcakes, so I wanted to order some for my wedding. I called multiple times and at first was asked to call back later, then was told "I think we don't do custom orders anymore, let me get my manager" and then they took a message and never called me back. Soon after I saw that the custom order form was removed from their website. So I took my business elsewhere.
Food was good my eggs and potatoes were loaded with salt though. I ended up unable to eat them because of that but really enjoyed the pancake
Great place! I ordered biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was super light and tasty. Gravy was good (not great...needed more sausage in it). My husband ordered chicken and waffles. I must confess I never understood that combo, however I am now a convert. The chicken was amazing...moist, with a tasty and flaky breading. They create their own dredge from their own flour recipe, and it was yummy!!! The waffles were seriously some of the best waffles I’ve ever eaten. My husband, who is not celiac, said he thought they were great! I highly recommend this place!
I cannot recall the last one I had soul food. I was upset when I visited Savannah, GA that there were zero gluten free options. After discovering this place, I was thrilled to see they had fried chicken and waffles that I could eat!
Great place for a safe leisurely breakfast. My breakfast included everything anybody could ever want, two eggs, country potatoes, the most delicious bacon I've ever eaten, and a strawberry pancake with fresh strawberries cooked inside, delicious! I've only had maybe three pancakes in the last year & this was the best. My gluten-eating husband decided on fried chicken & Mac n cheese, loved the chicken & the potatoes from my breakfast, thought he would have liked more cheese on his Mac. We were very happy & got donuts and a scone for my mom. She loved the scone.
Great gluten free food. It was the first time in my life I’ve ever tasted chicken and waffles, huge portion!
Donuts are amazing!!! Super friendly staff. I can’t get over how good the food is here. Travel for these donuts. They aren’t cake donuts, they are honest to god, real fried delicious donuts.
Always have such a great time there! Never have to worry! Always get their donuts!
All gluten free. Great selection for gf and non gf diners. We came for breakfast and had the waffles and quiche. Both were delicious!
This place was outstanding and kid approved!
The staff is extremely helpful with questions and the fact the entire restaurant is gluten free lets you feel good you can eat anything on the menu! Bakery items are amazing. Cost is kinda pricey but very good food we will be back . Be nice if a west side type of restaurant such as this.
A great restaurant, which just happens to be gluten free (which is essential for me, but I really wanted to emphasis that it's a great restaurant first and foremost). We are visiting, but this place makes me want to move. We had a Nashville style chicken fried sandwich and onion rings, and they make me legitimately "Mmmm" like a cartoon character. The bakery special- a scoffle, also was delicious. My only regret is not physically being able to try more.
We have eaten here twice. The first time for lunch and it was fantastic. Onion rings!!! I was elated. So we went back for breakfast. The best chai tea I have ever had but the rest of the meal was very disappointing. The bisuit was inedible. The waffles mushy. The egg we ordered medium was on the done side of completely hard. The eggs and potatoes were unseasoned. such a disappointment.
They really gone downhill in the years that I've been going here. Multiple changes in the menu lead to disappointment and being unable to order something you loved the last time you were there. I had a weekday off and went down to get a donut, which is quite a drive for me, only to find an Unapologetic employee tell me that Donuts are only served on the weekends. Quality of food also is not as good. Just disappointed
As a Celiac, it’s so refreshing to come in to a restaurant and not have to ask what I can eat. Everything is gluten free. It is literally a breath of fresh air with out an ounce of an anxiety rush. I ordered the Chicken and waffles and the Biscuits and Gravy. Both exceptional! Next time I come back I’ll get the Chicken Waffles. It was my favorite. PS try all the baked goods they have to offer.
I have celiac and felt completely safe eating here! Enjoyed biscuits/gravy AND the lemon ricotta raspberry pancakes....were were amazing! This will be a must anytime we are in Phoenix!
GF Chicken & Waffles, with 3 toppings on the side = bliss!! Service was a bit unorganized, but they were so nice. The amazing food more than made up for any prior confusion (mixed up orders between tables). Highly recommend, especially if celiac. It was nice to feel "normal" and to not be treated any differently, because of my allergy issues. What a treat!!
Both my kids and I love love love Jewels!
Amazing place for a celiac. All GF and devoted GF facility. Can’t beat it.
I love this place! Wish I didn’t live so far away! Everything is gluten free and so yummy! Recommended for everyone!
Everything is GF. Excellent flavors- large portions - nice atmosphere. You won’t be disappointed
This place is the best!!! First time eating fried chicken with gravy that tasted this good since being diagnosed...
Staff was great! So many safe gf options.
Amazing food and it’s all gluten free! The fried chicken is so good. Waffles were delicious and as a gluten eater, I wouldn’t have known the difference. My celiac son loved it. Cupcakes were phenomenal. Only thing meh was the biscuit. We drove 45 min to eat here and will likely do it monthly!
I was able to have chicken and waffles for the first time EVER! This place is soooo good. If you haven’t already noticed from the 100+ reviews ;-)
Entire restaurant is Gluten free and the staff is wonderful. First experience was perfect and highly recommend waffles sandwiches and brownies! They are also cautious of other allergies as we have a nut, food coloring, and pork allergy on top of gluten allergy. Can’t wait for our next visit.
Amazing!! Great service! Great food.
Nothing but good food every time we go
Excellent food. Totally gluten free facility. Really enjoyable meal. Highly recommended.
GF restaurant! Fried onion rings! Chicken and waffles! Good food, reasonable prices, good environment.
Dedicated gluten free bakery. Uses oat flour, which a lot of people with celiac can't eat. I didn't get to try a lot of food because I also have a dairy allergy and there were only a very few things to try. I ended up eating a vegan cookie, which was tasty but definitely disappointed everything else had dairy in it.
Delicious! We traveled from out of town and were so thrilled to have a celiac safe treat. We had cheeseburgers and grilled cheese and breakfast at noon. Delish!
For sure the best gluten free restaurant. The food selection is so wide and they also have new good additions to the menu. Even the bakery section is wide and always fresh. Highly recommend
This is by far our favorite place in Phoenix. It is entirely gluten-free, everything on the menu is delicious and the staff is wonderful. Double-plus bonus: the bakery has new and tasty things all the time, so there is always something fantastic to take home.
EVERYTHING is gluten free here and the food is amazing! We had chicken and waffles and the biscuits and gravy and it was delicious!! Highly recommend if you are in the area.
The fried chicken dishes!!!! Yumm!!!!
Dedicated gluten free restaurant, delicious food, best pancake I have had in years. I’m celiac and I had no trouble with the food. It’s great to be able to choose from the entire menu!
Amazing everything!!!! All gluten free!
Can't get enough of the smothered clucker and the chicken and waffles. We go here every morning while on vacation from out of town, great way to start a celiacs day!
They have very good food and very good desserts. It depends on who you get as a server but sometimes the wait is very long but worth it.
Delicious and many options. Server was awesome!
Amazing pancakes! Cool environment, and tasty desserts to take home
The chicken and waffles were amazing. Also took home a delightful scone and a biscotti. I wish it wasn't so far from my house.
This place is "dedicated gluten free" but uses oat flour in everything. Oat isn't safe for all celiacs, and to be honest, oat flour behaves so similarly to wheat flour that it doesn't take an expert-level amount of skill to make non-vegan baked goods with oat flour. I just wasn't real impressed with this place. Spouse and I did manage to have a vegan oat-free lunch, with buffalo cauliflower bites (the breading is rice panko), tacos, and sweet potato fries, which were all delicious. The cauliflower served the hot sauce on the side, and the ranch dip is vegan. I was pretty disappointed that one of the few dedicated-gf places in the Phoenix area is using oat flour in everything. While they may used certified gf oats, using oats alienates a subset of celiacs who can't tolerate them. And I would hope that a dedicated gf business would want as many celiac dollars as they could get. I didn't check out the restrooms, but the space is somewhat wheelchair friendly. In fact, I wasn't the only wheelchair user when I visited. The ramp from the parking lot wasn't very good, but that's not the cafe's fault. They also close pretty early in the afternoon. If I'm in the neighborhood, I might come back here, but I wouldn't be excited to recommend this place to anyone with celiac. It's great for the gf-fad-followers though.
I Stumbled upon this cafe today & it was amazing!!! I had their chicken & Waffles. Wow!! Delicious!! Its a 100% GF restaurant. So glad I found it!!
Everything is excellent!!
