I have been to this bakery many times and it never disappoints. The food is incredible! I know a couple of people who aren’t celiac and go there for some sweet treats! I would recommend this bakery to anyone! Try their cinnamon rolls and butter tarts!

Joanie’s is a completely Gluten Free Bakery suitable for celiacs offering wonderful cakes, cupcakes, cookies, incredible tarts, and so much more. They also sell excellent GF pasta, prepared frozen foods and breads as well as seasonal treats. We have been customers for many years.

Absolutely delicious!!! Joanie’s pastries is worth every single penny, although expensive you are definitely getting what you pay for!! High quality gluten free treats that taste better then a lot of gluten treats I used to eat before being diagnosed! I love the chocolate cupcakes and muffins

Bought some goodies from a stall at Covent Garden. The blondie, ginger cookie, and butter pecan cookie were incredible and don’t make me sick at all. I’ll definitely be going back.

Absolutely delicious celiac safe food with so many options. Joanie’s is a regular go-to for our celiac household. We recently found out the No Frills at Colonel Talbot and Southdale has a freezer table with a number of Joanie’s bakery items so now we have an even closer location to pick up from. ❤

Absolutely amazing gluten free goods. My daughter with celiac never feels she is missing out when she has a treat from Joanie’s! So many different options and everything we’ve tried has been great. They sell some items from other gluten free companies in their store, which has been great! I’m not gluten free and Joanie’s muffins and carrot cakes are probably the best I’ve ever had gluten free or not! Our family jokes that Joan is a wizard. They are at several local farmers markets in the summers as well.

Love the owner’s (Joan) story! The pecan tart was the best I’ve ever had (even compared to gluten pecan tarts pre-Celiac diagnosis - not joking - so good!!!!) I also bought frozen puff pastry which I’m excited to try!

Dedicated GF bakery. Quite a few fresh options in the display cases but also frozen items which was super convenient since I planned to freeze some things anyway :) they also have frozen items they bring in from GF restaurants/bakeries in Toronto and Montreal. Their cinnamon buns are made in-house and are delicious.

I can’t stop raving about Joanie’s Pastries. I first sampled her creations a few years ago at London’s Ribfest, and they were so good that I don’t want to try “Gluten Free” butter tarts from anyone else. I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease almost 10 years ago and I had my first GF butter tarts since diagnosis from Joan. The best really does just happen to be Gluten Free. Joanie’s Pastries butter tarts are as light and flaky as non-GF tarts, but I don’t get sick after eating them. I could be wrong, but from what I understand, Joanie’s Pastries is the only GF bakery in London Ontario that has a Certificate of participation in the Canadian Celiac Association Gluten Free Certification Program.

I’m drooling, just thinking about the other baked goods I’ve had from Joanie’s. Do yourself a favour and go check out her bakery. I think it’s safe to say that you’ll be glad you did.

Joanie’s is amazing! Everything here is GF. There are also some products available in the freezer aisle free from allergens such as dairy, egg, soy, corn and nuts. Just ask which ones they are if you are interested. Mainly a bakery, Joanie’s sells GF and Keto pizzas as well.

Joan herself has celiac and is very knowledgeable about cross contamination and food safety. This is a fully dedicated bakery

The pastries are so incredible, not just for gluten free. There is a huge selection of delicious tasting desserts, breads and other surprises like meat jerky- available at very reasonable prices. I frequent Joanies for treats and when I entertain and for holidays and birthdays. We are so so lucky to have Joanies in London!

Stopped in today and had the pleasure of meeting Joanie. Super friendly, amazing desserts, they taste “normal” buttery delicious tarts that you wouldn’t know are gluten free. I also tried a cupcake, Nanaimo bar, cream puff, and Carrot Cake. Everything she makes is so delicious. Make sure you stop into her store!!!! You wont be disappointed.
