Most of the items on the menu can be made gluten free. Staff very knowledgeable and attentive, checking if the food was required for a coeliac and ensuring no CC. Food was delicious! My daughter was really happy with her chicken burger and chips. I would definitely recommend this place.
Everything is clearly marked and almost the entire menu is gluten free or can be made gluten free. Delicious fried chicken!

As a parent with a recently diagnosed teenager (celiac) we are still learning and navigating new ways of eating. Joes Garage is a long time family favourite, since it was a shed in Queenstown 20 odd years ago. But last night we gained a new level of appreciation by the awareness and care taken by the staff, to ensure we were well informed and reassured about their practices and set-up to support the GFIO menu items. The JFC (Joes Fried Chicken) and pizzas were a winner.
Very disappointed, online their menu shows tons of GF options but when I went to eat in person the server said they couldn’t do anything except fries GF safe. Would not recommend
As soon as I said our daughter was coeliac, the waitress was straight onto it! She had a kids burger and chips. Loved it!
I contacted Joe’s prior to double check that they used a separate fryer for gluten free and they confirmed they do. Our coeliac daughter had the grilled chicken burger kids meal and gave it the big thumbs up. No reaction for her either :-)
Had a great fried chicken burger here. I was told that there were only 3 coeliac friendly options on the menu that I could choose from- the fried chicken burger, fried chicken pieces and chips. Fairly limiting, but I appreciate them being upfront and understanding of cross contamination. It was delicious.
