Review of Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que

We ate here while traveling through town. I have celiac and am very sensitive to cross-contamination and did not have any problems. At a friend’s suggestion, I had the Z-Man (no onion rings) on a GF bun and it was very good. The fries are made in a dedicated frier, so I was able to eat those as well. In response to the reviewer who was concerned about msg, this ingredient is not a valid concern for people with celiac or gluten sensitivity in general. Many celiacs also have other food sensitivities—lactose intolerance being a common example—but that doesn’t mean that all additional sensitivities apply to all individuals with celiac.
