Review of Joe's Food Emporium

I called to ask if their items marked GF on their menu were safe for people with Celiac Disease. The person I spoke with said they didn’t know and put me through to someone else who said it depends on what you order. I asked if they had a dedicated space in their kitchen or a dedicated fryer. They said they don’t have anything like this and that even their salad station wouldn’t be safe from cross-contamination since it has “croutons and a bunch of pita bread”. Instead, I tried asking what precautions they take if someone were to mention Celiac Disease and they said they didn’t know and put me through to someone else who then laughed at my question and said, “Well we won’t feed you flour!”

Perhaps the GF items marked on their menu are fine for people with gluten sensitivities or intolerances - but this place is clearly not safe for people with Celiac Disease. Avoid.
