If you are anywhere near this bakery, you must go! This was our second time visiting the area and we were able to stop in again. New York style bagels, amazing crusty French bread, desserts like cupcakes, so many options. As someone with 8 food allergies I’m able to eat most of the items here! They are so nice and always give me samples too. They apparently can ship out of state and I’d say it’s worth it based on the quality! Definitely get yourself a bagel 🥯
The person that helped me was super nice. They had a lot of variety. They gave me samples of the challah and sourdough breads. I’m not usually a sourdough fan but they were both amazing. He did warn me to freeze them as they get hard quickly. They were definitely not as good day 2 as day 1 but very good the day I bought them. We will see how they are from the freezer next week.
I recently went to bakery. Purchased 40.00 worth everything was fantastic. I will go again
I’m embarrassed to write this review as I have nothing good to say. I bought a load of sourdough, a loaf of cinnamon raisin, a blueberry muffin and a cinnamon roll for $40 total. I tried a bite of everything after toasting/heating up and one by one they went in the trash! Everything was so hard and just horrible. What a waste. Don’t waste your time money or effort :-/ giving 2 stars vs 1 because the cashier was so kind. I’m not new to the disappointment of GF foods but I haven’t had such horrible GF baked goods like this in years.
Incredible experience! I have a few different allergies so even dedicated gluten free restaurants can be pretty stressful, not only could I eat almost everything but every allergen was very clearly marked. The employees were so friendly and I’m so happy to know they also ship! One of the best bagels I have ever had. Extra extra points for kosher and eco kosher!!
Wow ! Amazing bakery shop ! I tried a lot of bakery over the years and it is the best ! Thank you so much !
The breads I sampled were amazing! Their bread similar to sourdough as so delicious as was their heavenly olive & sun dried tomato bread! Haven’t tasted anything like this in years since I went GF. Bought the bagels fresh out of the oven so waiting for them to cool before I can enjoy them. The pumpkin bread is delicious, quite a treat. Also tried the oatmeal cookie which is very good. Happy I finally went to Joey’s and will return.
Phenomenal! The French bread tastes like bread! It’s crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. Rye is also amazing.
My husband went to West Palm, FL for Spring Brake and drove to Boynton Beach to get me some pastries from this bakery. It was pricey but not surprises there. He bought some chocolate chip and chocolate cookies, eclairs, and a chocolate cake. All of them were disgusting. The eclair was tasteless and after a 11 second reheating in the microwave it fell apart. It was so tiny. I couldn’t finish it because I literally felt that was eating raw flour. The cookies were flavorless too and the texture was dry and porous. I couldn't finish them either. I had to throw them away. I haven’t had the chocolate cake yet but I don’t expect too much. It’s so disappointing when you spent a good amount of money and get this insipid baked products. As a celiac, I feel I have to lower my expectations because most of the time the food could be not as good as one expected. Although to be fair, I have had nice experiences too especially in Arizona (Gourmet Girls, Intentional Food), or California (Starry Lane bakery, Nectarine Grove). All of them are dedicated restaurants.and their food is so tasty. NY or Austin have been excellent experiences as well not only in terms of the abundance of options but also in the diversity of food you can find there. I don't care about paying $$$ if their dishes are delicious.
We found this bakery on your app. Everything we bought was delicious. We traveled from NJ & It was so nice to find a safe place for my Celiac son to eat . He said, by far this was the best bagel he has ever had gluten-free! We will be back. The employees were so kind and helpful. ! Thank you.
First time traveling since I was diagnosed with celiacs just a few weeks ago, so I was definitely not aware of my dietary needs back when this trip was first booked. All I can say is I truly feel as though I hit the jackpot for gf bakeries❤ This is a must stop if you are anywhere near. You’ll love walking inside and being faced with large glass front cases filled with moist breads, muffins, cupcakes and so many one of a kind treats - all SAFE for you to enjoy! This establishment also offers DF and Vegan. It was all I could do not to order 1 of everything! 😋🤤 I tried a chocolate choc chip cookie, a almond flour, raspberry Perite Fior (also DF) and a blueberry muffin (also DF). So moist and sweet and amazing! The best part - this place ships “all over the country”!!!!! I know what I am adding to my Xmas list this year! If you cannot be there in person you should order something from them today - you absolutely deserve it!
Delicious selection of GF foods (as well as vegan, vegetarian, dairy free). Wonderful people working there, as well.
This place is amazing! I bought the crusty bread and am in heaven. Best find since being diagnosed with celiac 7 years ago. Lots of samples... Seriously everything was really good!
I realized my review is years old so I will update. Five years later I’m still a loyal customer of Joey’s. She recently added bialys and they are amazing!! My husband tasted them and said they’re better than any bialy he’s had in South Florida. Also, since my last review I’ve had her bagels and rye bread which also taste so close to the real thing you wouldn’t believe they’re gf. But the entire store is gluten free so you can be sure of safety. If you’re in South Florida and are craving REAL TASTING bread, do not miss Joey’s!
Absolutely 5 stars for completely safe eating. The whole establishment is gluten free along with many vegan options, a few sugar free and a few paleo options. My bagel and cream cheese was superb! Pastries on the other hand I was unfortunately underwhelmed. They were not overbearingly sweet which I appreciated but crumbly and bland. I do thank them for providing such a safe place to eat though and do not regret the 25 min Uber drive from our hotel for that bagel!
