Joey's Kitchen Napili

I was very hesitant about Joey’s as most of their menu contains gluten specifically soy sauce. I ordered the braised short rib which they told me was gluten free. The cashier was quite knowledgeable and even asked if my GF needs were for dietary reasons or Celiac. I told him Celiac and he imputed it into the system with my order. I was initially nervous to eat it because it smelled like a soy/teriyaki sauce or marinade but it was absolutely delicious. I went next door to the Napili market to buy GF soy sauce to add to the meal. This was a couple nights ago and I did not get sick!

I was a little unsure at first because I wasn’t sure if the lady at the front fully understood that I needed separate pans not just gluten free but everything was fine! The taco was decent, the fish was great but everything else I could probably make at home. I would probably try something else if I went again.

They offer several GF options. Some dishes can be made GF. I had the boneless short ribs. They were wonderful. Good quality food. I did not get sick.

A couple of marked options on menu Had the fish tacos - tortillas were cold and uncooked or grilled at all They broke in half first bite Fish and slaw was okay- tortillas no.

The hostess made sure the food was cooked on a separate cook top. She was very knowledgeable about what was gluten free on the menu. Not to mention the food was delicious!

Excellent fish tacos, had some other options too but have to ask. They knew what had to be adapted to make it GF and I did not get sick! Also reasonably priced.

Really good fish tacos. Very fresh, simple in numbers of ingredients but tasty. The lady delivering the tacos even said “gluten free fish tacos” before placing the food in front of me. Nice courtyard area for seating. Plenty of parking bc it’s in a shopping center

Had Joey's Famous Garlic Chicken as a GF option, it was phenomenal! Got extra rice instead of Mac salad and they excluded the soy sauce as well. Was worried how the chicken looked when it came out “breaded” but it is not actual breading. Husband had the shrimp which was gf too!

I had the Kalua pork with cabbage plate and they gave me a side salad instead of the macaroni salad. Everything was super yummy and I did not have a reaction afterwards!

GF items are clearly indicated on the menu. Several very tasty options. Everything was fresh and made to order. We had the garlic shrimp and loved them! Right next to Napili Market. We will definitely eat there again.

At first I was feeling insecure since it only had 1 review here on the app. But the printed menu I found in the restaurant is all marked with the gluten free options! The server also said she would write a comment to the chef to let him know my dish should be gluten free.

I ordered the red curry and coconut milk rice noodles wish grilled fish, yesterday, and I’m writing this review almost 24 hours later so I can assure you I didn’t get sick 🙂 and I’m usually a very sensitive celiac

We found this place walking around it was so yummy. Have a large portion of the menu already gluten free. Spoke with the chef who is also the owner and he 100% knows gf. If I lived here I'd eat it often.
