Review of Jo's American Bistro

Great restaurant for celiac. Staff is very knowledgeable about gluten free food. They use differently-colored plates and bring gluten free food to the table separately from other dishes. I felt safe and did not get any reaction afterwards. That said, the food, while safe, was unremarkable. I had a steak, which was slightly over cooked, and my husband had a pork chop, which was somewhat dry. The food was not bad, just not amazing. However, as safety is my first concern, I would recommend it to others and would come back when I am in Newport again.
