I got told the food and chips I ordered. Although by the time I was leaving I felt so sick. Although I'm not sure which was worse, the food or the service.

Never again. Currently sitting on the bathroom floor with my eleven year old after 2hrs of puking. I knew something was wrong with the food and called the waitress over to verify everything was gluten free and kitchen took precautions. She assured me it was safe. Very wrong.

We both had chicken enchiladas with beans and rice. Cute atmosphere and decent food. We didn’t have alcoholic drinks so not sure how they tasted but the looked good. I never thought I would say this but the food needed salt. I’d rather have it the way they made it than too salty but you may need to ask for salt. We didn’t have dessert. Woman was knowledgeable to GF needs and confirmed that the free chips before the meal share a fryer.

It was okay. I didn’t get sick. But This is definitely white people’s version of Mexican food.
I ate here while vacationing on Macinac, and had no reaction, 24 hrs later! I had the panseared whitefish (not breaded) with mango habeñero salsa, rice, veggies, and refried beans. I did not eat the chips, as I asked about the fryer and they did say they fry other wheat breaded things in there. Overall, the food was good and filling (more of the salsa would have been nice), though it is pretty similar to any other Latino restaurant in the Midwest. I would definitely go back!

So good and most of the menu is gluten free!
Stopped here on vacation. Good options. Friendly staff/owner. Made sure we were happy and everything was to our specifications. We felt very well taken care of and accepted. Definitely on the list to visit again.

We have dinner at Jose’s Cantina at least 3 times a year while we vacation in the UP. Most of the menu is gluten free and the servers are very helpful. I enjoy the chicken fajitas with corn shells. Their rice and beans are also gluten free. My favorite place to eat in St. Ignace! UPDATE: tortilla chips are no longer gluten free 5/19 🙁

There are not a lot of options in this small town so I was happy to find this place near our hotel. It was tricky getting information from our server at first due to language barrier. Had the cheese enchiladas. No reaction which I’m grateful for but as far as the food- meh at best

I have a very bad reaction to gluten which makes me hesitant to eat out. Our server was very understanding and knowledgeable and said they would work very hard to avoid cross contamination. I got the mushroom enchilada. It was delicious. My husband ordered the fish tacos and said that they were very good. I had no reaction! We would definitely eat there again. Highly recommend it.
Ate here with no issues. Menu says most things are GF but isn't specific. I had chicken fajitas with corn tortillas.
Great food, staff was somewhat knowledgeable. No reaction!
