Went for ice cream. When I asked about gluten free flavors, they listed out a lot. Then they asked if it was an allergy. I said yes and they immediately offered to scoop from fresh tubs in the back to prevent cross contamination. I was really impressed with their knowledge and care.

They have a gf menu, just ask to see it. Got the broiled scallops without breadcrumbs, baked potato and veggies. They accommodated no dairy and no gluten. Easy process and nice staff.

Both the restaurant and ice cream shop were knowledgeable- I was told about the fries (shared fryer) before I even asked. They had plenty that was GF, no rolls (we just bring our own). The ice cream shop has a list of allergens for each flavor and offered to wash the scooper and even open a fresh ice cream.

This was around the corner from where we stayed. They were extremely patient while we ordered and their ordering system allows for marking both the food issue and the severity in bright red.They brought the burger and steamers out on a separate tray. We also went for ice cream often and they also had a procedure in place. There is a list behind the counter with allergens. They washed hands, took a clean scooper from an allergy container on a high shelf, scooped from fresh containers in the back, and even grabbed spoons from the bottom. The all took a little longer so order first in the group for both food and ice cream.

2021 Update:Unfortunately the chowder is no longer gluten free. Huge disappointment

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They have a list of foods which either are gluten free (clam chowder) or can be made so.

I had the chowder and the broiled scallops, sans breadcrumbs, and made in a pan, not just put in the grill.

I’ve eaten here quite a few times, and never had a problem.

Sooo happy we found this place! The owner was the sweetest and so patient with us! They had a GF menu behind the counter! Got the GF clam chowdaaaa and lobster roll with out the bun! But they do have GF buns if you want! Also for hot dogs and more! All around was very happy to be able to get seafood while on the cape :)

If you have the lobster you are fine. Otherwise, no separate menu and minimal comprehension of celiac. We are the lobster with no issues.

I got the lobster roll without the roll (which was ok). They first told me that the fries are ok, but after I pushed some more, they realized the (not GF) onion rings are in the same oil. But then they offered to bake some fries for me, so that was great!

Had the lobster roll with no bun , it was great!! The French fries didn't bother me but I would ask. Great food

They now have a gluten free menu- no gf bread or fried stuff but you can eat here. Chowder is gf and broiled seafood and salads ok. Staff at counter asked the right questions and highlighted it as an allergy.

My family liked all the choices, but I was disappointed that they did not have a dedicated fryer for GF fries:(. Very disappointing!! I had even called and checked. They did seem knowledgeable, but we're not as willing as I would have liked to make GF exchanges...

Came for ice cream and told the girl at the counter that I have a gluten allergy and ordered a cup of vanilla with m&ms. Without me having to explain any further, she went to wash her hands, opened a new bag of candy and a new container of ice cream. So nice not having to ask! I don't know about their food at the restaurant but the ice cream counter was obviously well trained in allergens. Great service and delicious ice cream.
