Kabob Guys - Afghan Grill

My partner went into Kabob Guys for take out and asked if anything was completely GF. The staff member confidently suggested the chicken skewers, insisting heavily about its safety. My partner brought a few skewers to the car and I had a bite. I then went inside myself to inquire if the sauce was also GF. To my surprise, the staff member replied, "no, it has lactose." I explained that I could eat lactose but not gluten. He asked, "what's gluten? Isn't that the same as lactose?" Completely shocked, I explained to him what gluten was and left in tears. Afterwards, I checked their menu online and saw that the chicken skewers did not have the GF symbol beside it. Luckily, I did not get sick but given their lack of knowledgeability and unsettling inconsistencies, I won't be returning. They definitely need more time to sort out their GF safety protocols.
