Kabuki Japanese Restaurant

I ordered delivery through door dash, and I will not be doing that again for this restaurant. I ordered miso soup, edamame, a tuna avocado roll, and the manhattans roll. The manhattan roll is covered in teriyaki sauce, which is not mentioned on the menu description. I left special instructions on how to handle my order, and they didn’t call to tell me it would be covered in gluten. The teriyaki sauce dripped through the tuna avocado container, making it inedible for me. The miso was fine, and the edamame was okay. I laughed when I saw the gluten free soy sauce specifically labelled at set aside. Maybe they’re okay for dine-in, but I would not do delivery!!

The waiter understood what had gluten and what didn’t from the menu and let my celiac partner know. He brought out gluten free soy sauce. My partner ordered sushi and edamame and had no reaction.

Sushi is very good and staff are knowledgeable. I’ve been here over a dozen times and have never gotten sick. I think the entree options are a little limited, but I stick to the sushi so I’m not too knowledgeable about the rest of the menu.

I was hesitant to come here after seeing the reviews but this is one of the only places near me for sushi. They had gluten free soy sauce, and let me know anything they could not make gluten free. It was not busy when I went so maybe that has something to do with it.

Waitress was not helpful with questions about gf options. Even after several queries and explanations, I was still brought plates with gluten... twice. Staff seems annoyed to deal with it. Not going back.

Based on reviews I thought it would be a safe option to eat at, however restaurant staff was unsure of gluten free options and were very rude when I asked questions about it

Wow!!! I found my Gf, Df sushi dream😄 My boyfriend and I got the Christmas roll with GF brown rice, an assorted fish roll wrapped in green soy paper & eel with mango, avacado and crab wrapped in cucumber! 5 Stars and 100% recommend. I have been to other places and they can't follow my sugar-free needs. Kabuki rocks👍
