Review of Kainoa's Hawaiian Grill

Kainoa’s Hawaiian Grill is a small, family-owned restaurant on the corner of US-70 and N. High School Ave. We stopped there for dinner, and when I asked about gluten-free options, the owner himself came out to greet us and discuss my needs. They currently have two gluten-free menu items, both hearty salads with rice. I ordered the “Kailua Green, Gluten-free” with pork, peanuts and cranberries on baby greens, served with a gluten free/dairy free orange sauce. It was abdaisolutely delicious! Every care is taken to ensure a safe dining experience for those with allergies including diligent staff training, a dedicated area, change of gloves, etc. The owner personally assured me he takes allergies very seriously and instructs his staff to never assume a request for gluten-free isn’t an allergy. We enjoyed our meal and suffered no ill effects. Will dine here again.
