The B-Lux Grill was not a safe option for me, a celiac person. The waitstaff was great and swore they could make something for me. I had my gluten tester with me and the grilled chicken failed. There is just to high a risk for contamination within that kitchen.

Very little options, but Sortinos has a gf menu and it was delicious. There’s a few gf ice cream options at the sweets stand but you have to google and ask for a new scooper to be used. Karoo for breakfast was great. Our server sent me to the head chef and she was extremely helpful, lots of gf options at the breakfast buffet. B lux wasn’t great. They have gf buns but I had a chicken salad.

I wouldn't eat at B-Lux considering the reviews, I went to the Great Karoo for breakfast. They didn't have anything marked on the menu as gluten free but I got an omelet and asked about the process. My waitress said it's cooked on a shared surface but they clean everything when a gluten-free order comes in and my order came out separate from the party's. She knew a lot about the process so I felt comfortable enough and I didn't feel any symptoms afterwards.

B Lux no longer bakes the fries, so they exchange with a bag of chips. The burger did have a good gf bun but the waitress told me the Swiss cheese had gluten... which I thought was odd. I did get ill after eating even tho it took an extra 10 or so before my food came.

We just went here for some family fun. My husband and I are GF. VERY limited options. They did have a GF pizza, however, cross-contamination is for sure an issue. No GF bread for breakfast. Shared toasters. Salads did come with croutons in a separate container. Would not recommend for celiacs.

The only thing offered was cheese pizza at the pizza pub. My partner went downstairs during the process to make sure no cross contamination was present as I do normally get sick with pizza. The pizza didn’t make me sick but tasted awful. My partner did enjoy the mozzarella sticks but they of course are not gluten free.

I tried to eat at B-Lux and was told they couldn't serve me anything at all after the test of my party got their meals. The website for the resort is terribly unhelpful.

We tried to have a meal at B-Lux. My son who is celiac wanted a chocolate milkshake. Our waiter said all the ingredients were gluten free but said the conditions in the kitchen were such that it would be cross contaminated. He said they didn’t serve anything that would be safe for him.

B-Lux has a gluten free bun. Our hamburger came with a regular bun after an extensive conversation with the waitress. Thank goodness my son knows a GF bun doesn’t look that good cuz if he would have ate it. Sloppy with a high risk!

We stayed in July and my son was so excited that they have dedicated fryers. He misses ordering French fries dining out. The Reserve restaurant was so helpful. The waitress was wonderful and had the chef come out to talk with me. My son had the burger with no bun and fries and loved it! Celiac friendly for sure!

Just stayed at Kalahari for 4 days and had zero issues (I'm severe celiac). Pizza and Pulled Pork sandwich from Cafe Mirage were delicious! They even had GF fries brought in from indoor waterpark to complete the meal. I also had a basket of fries from the indoor water park and no issues! It was great to be able to have meals with my family and so many options too!!

Celiac friendly?

The B lux burger restaurant was safe and good. Staff very well informed. Cooked fries and tater tots in oven to prevent cross contamination. GF bun avail. Ate here a couple times. Recommend.

The Ivory coast was not as well prepared for gluten or dairy free but they are changing their menus and this may improve.

A chef spoke to me at each dining area we visited and assured me that they would personally prepare my food to prevent cross contamination. Great food service.

The Great Karoo Marketplace is the place for breakfast if you're celiac. I am very sensitive, no grains-including rice and corn. That being said, labeled gf options include bacon, sausage patties, turkey sausage links, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit trays, sautéed squash medley, baked home fry potatoes, baked apples including nuts, peach chutney, and pancakes upon request. Very delicious and no reactions even though buffet style. I found this to be the best GF area in the entire resort in terms of knowledge, availability, and taste.

Excellent food! They meet with you individually and address your dietary needs. They can almost anything on their menu gluten free. Wonderfully done, Kalahari!

A great place to visit with allergies. GF pizza and the restaurant in the water park has a dedicated frier for fries. There is a time during the day that they offer cookies to ice. They have allergy-free cookies to offer with separate icing so all the kids can participate!!!!
