What a letdown! Where do I start? Normally I don’t go out of my way to give a establishment a bad review. Maybe this was just a bad day for them! I understand we’re only human but it was a very disappointing. We got to the hostess stand and told her it was a party of two. She told us to wait five minutes she’ll check on something so she left the stand. When she came back she told us to follow her and brought us into the restaurant. Upon arriving to the table she noticed that it was uncleared and still had dishes on the table. She told us to give her a second as she went back to the hostess stand to get a rag to wipe off the table. It was no problem I understand that stuff happens so we just waited and gave her sometime to clear the table. She sat us at what I would call the butt hole of the restaurant. Isolated in a little nook in between the outside dining and the actual indoor restaurant dining. After looking over the menu we both decided on what we wanted to order. Then the wait began. We waited. Then we waited more. Finally around 15 minutes later I was over it. I headed towards the host stand find out who was the server. Upon passing what was 2 empty tables that I noticed earlier they were filled with two other parties that already had their drink orders and appetizers at the table. I called across the restaurant and sad “yo we need some help here!” The server came. He seemed a little surprised as if he didn’t even realize we were there. He took our orders and that was that. As for the food. Honestly, being a Hawaiian and growing up on Hawaiian food! It was eh! Mediocre. I should’ve gone with my first instinct with the Thai restaurant right down the street on Lewers instead. Chef Chai please pay this restaurant visit. Management at this location seems disorganized. Was really let down. Hopefully my post doesn’t get taken down like how my other half’s did! When people ask where to go I definitely not recommend this place as my personal opinion. Something needs to change!
Wow I don’t even know where to start. This place is dangerous for gluten free intolerant people, especially those like myself who have celiac. They had labeled several of their dishes as gluten free and when I noticed some of them threw up red flags, I asked the waiter to check with the kitchen for me. It turns out that only ONE ITEM on their menu is gluten free and that is the kalua pork appetizer. Everything else, even the vegetable curry, has gluten! On top of that, we waited over an hour to get a small plate of pork. I was also told that the owner has heard complaints of the gf mislabeling and still won’t take the gf off of the menu, probably to get more business at the expense of peoples’ immune systems, which is horrible. I advise you not to go here.
