Dedicated gluten free bakery, BUT most everything has almond flour in it. Since my girls also have a tree nut intolerance, they were very disappointed. The only options without tree nuts were carrot cake, flour less chocolate cake and a raspberry muffin. They both enjoyed the chocolate cake, but the others they did not like.
It was wonderful to walk in and be able to have anything that I wanted! I don’t like overly sweet things and the peanut butter pie was just the right side of sweet for me. We tried a few other treats as well and they were all delicious! Definitely will be stopping in the next time I’m in town.
I have been here twice and both times it was awesome! I didn’t get sick either time. They also offer egg, dairy, and oat free desserts and food which can be hard to find. It’s a small place and some of the items change but each time there’s been multiple options for me and it tasted great!
Gluten free and dairy free Keto. It is great to have this option, but I love dairy and missed it. Super cute bakery with a few tables.
It’s such a treat to find gluten free places and not have to worry about cross contamination on vacation! We visited Karen’s twice-once for a treat and lunch the next day. We had the chicken salad sandwich on yummy gf bread and tuna salad my husband and I shared (he’s not gf) but thought it was great. We enjoyed the Magic bar one day and the Pumpkin Cinnamon roll…yummmm! May go back tomorrow😂
This is a true gem! Entirely gf with vegan options. The sourdough bread sandos that they make were delightful. I had the tuna sandwich and went back again the next day for a breakfast bagel with avo, vegan cream cheese, fried egg and bacon. Was so delish. They have donuts and muffins and all sort of desserts. They make their sando bread in house every day. My partner who is not gf and hates gf products was jealous of my sandos bc they were better than the ones she got at Whole Foods on focaccia hahaha. Can’t wait to return!
Update: I returned there a few days ago because the savory food is quite good, but the lady taking my order was so incredibly rude to me (she was the first time I went, too, but I was willing to look past it that time) so we ended up not placing an order and we left. She was curt, acted like I was inconveniencing her, that she was better than me, and like she would rather do anything else than interact with me. I will not go here again; no one deserves to be treated rudely for placing a lunch order! My husband was shocked at her behavior and so was I. Steer clear.
Original post;
The bagel sandwiches were excellent, as was the coffee. My son didn’t care for the cupcake he had, and neither did my husband. They said they were dry and had an odd aftertaste. I didn’t try the desserts, but I’m still thinking about the bagel sandwich I got. I’ll return for sure. So nice knowing it’s safe to eat there!
It’s a really cool place that’s 100% gluten free. Because of that, it’s quite expensive. I stopped there for a meal rather than just to pick up a baked good, and I was paying for pizza by the slice and it got very expensive. For what it’s worth, everything I got was really good and safe so for that reason it’s probably worth the money!
The baked goods here brought me to tears they were so good! I’m in the area for vacation and stopped here two days in a row! I stocked up on sourdough bread, sandwich bread, cookies, and muffins to eat during my stay. Such friendly people, great service, and I can eat with confidence knowing everything is gluten free!! I highly recommend eating here if you are in Sedona.
A completely gf bakery is such a rare find that I was compelled to visit twice during our stay in Sedona. Many of the baked goods are also vegan. I’m sure if one is vegan then this is a great option. I’m not and I find the texture and flavor less satisfying. The vegan blueberry bar and gf chocolate cupcake were good. The gf pumpkin bread was nice but lacked the bread texture that is so hard to duplicate without gluten. It’s a small, cute place and they are eager to please.
Delightful baked goods, low sugar so less sweet but great textures across the board. Tried quiche and an assortment of donuts and muffins.
