Bakery/deli with some good GF options. Staff helpful; the GF bread and desserts were good.

Loved this place! Their gf focaccia bread was great, they’ll make a grilled cheese with it if you ask! So many gf dessert options, priced pretty reasonably considering they’re gf and it’s Hawaii! The banana bread warmed up was really good. My non-gf friend loved the gf baked goods as well!
Really yummy smoothies too

It was exciting to find this bakery today! The staff was knowledgeable about celiac disease and thoroughly explained their menu. There is an abundance of gluten free scones, muffins, and other items to choose from. They made me a delicious lavender latte with coconut milk. I don’t feel any celiac symptoms after eating here this morning. I’ll definitely return and bring my friends!

We were thrilled to find this gem. Wonderful selection and safe for celiacs! Everything was GF in the Coolers. It includes food and bakery items!

We discovered this little gem back in September but unfortunately not until the end of our month long stay. When we came back for another month stay at the end of November, this was one of our first stops so that I could stock up on scones. This trip we went once a week and even took my mother-in-law when she came to visit for a couple of days. We head back to TX this Saturday so I’ll be going back to take some scones home with me. The blueberry ones are tasty but the blueberry lemon poppyseed are the best (have them warm it up for you). My husband & I really like the quiche as well as the strawbanman smoothie. Wasn’t worried about cross-contamination since everything in the display case was GF.

Wanted to like it but…not very tasty. High risk of cross contamination if Celiac as seemed very lax and annoyed with requests for clean serving utensils

I love this place it’s really delicious and everyone is really nice. I’ve been here a couple times and it seems that they often rotate things in that section and it’s someone job to rub off the “GF” or “V” and or put it back on. And the people taking your orders really don’t know what the people are doing in the back for example which items actually are vegan and or gluten free and what is mislabeled. Because you can tell them “vegan gluten free brownie” and they just grab you the brownie even if the “V” or “GF” label appears smudged or is there by one of the brownie types but not by the other types. I ate a brownie one week and was fine the next week I had a different one and got really sick. Not sure if it was gluten eggs or dairy. Otherwise if you don’t choose any of the bakery items that aren’t on the physical menu you should be fine everything on the physical menu is clearly labeled. And even if you ask the staff they give answers like “I’m pretty sure it’s gluten free and vegan” even though there are zero markings on the sign.

Almost everything with Gf and Vegan. We ordered the quiches and they were delicious same with the Samoas and brownies. The cinnamon rolls were not gluten free but just about everything else was in terms of baked goods. The actual food didn't have a ton of options but if you're there for baked goods you for sure won't be disappointed.

One of my favorite spots from our trip so far; they had gluten free butter mochi which was SOOOO good and they had a vegan/gf dragonfruit cheesecake slice….I will never be the same after this one. It is one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Make this a priority on your Kona trip 💕

Excellent and safe gluten-free goodies. Quiche, sandwiches, scones, carrot cake, S'mores granola bars and more. I own a gluten-free/Vegan bakery and these are some of the best treats I have had while traveling!

There were so many yummy things to eat! I got the quiche for lunch and a slice of pumpkin pie, berry banana granola bar,& oatmeal sandwich (cream cheese frosting middle). I could eat all of these desserts one after the other but I’m trying to save them for later. So yummy!

Best place in big island! Is the only one where I’ve been who knows about cross contamination, who has it a big choice of Gf products. Everything was fantastic, I’ve tried several food, my favourite one was the banana and mango pastry

Great experience! Come with time and money. You will want ALL the food! And with good things come a little bit of a wait. About 90% of the food is gf. Everything was so yummy. The ladies will help you with what they can and cannot do for you, with no judgement and 100% understanding.

Super delicious food and great vibe overall, and they were very conscious and careful about my celiac, telling me which items were safe and having the chef come out to discuss their kitchen practices. I had the frittata, scones, and granola bars. I did not get sick and got extra goodies to go!!

We loved this bakery so much, we went back for another round of goodies. Everything is clearly marked gluten free (and vegan). The toaster is not dedicated gluten free, but the staff was upfront about that and very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We got the (untoasted) focaccia, and it was SO yummy—I took slices to go for picnic sandwiches. My (celiac) son and (dairy free) daughter loved the Samoa cookies and lavender brownies. I loved the build your own smoothies (Mac nut based - extra yum).
Ironically, we didn’t love the coffee, but I highly recommend this spot for all other goodies! (They also have breakfast sandwiches for the non-Celiacs in your life!)

For the first time on our honeymoon, I had a good ‘ol delicious not-so-good for me meal. Fish and chips was amazing. It has a dedicated frier. No worries here! Manager was nice and knowledgeable. Will return for sure. The drinks were also top notch.

So amazing, disregard all the reviews lower than 5 stars (they sell out of their gf bread fast so go early if you want that). This place is a godsend and all of their pastries are gluten free and so tasty. Coffee is amazing and the building is full of awesome art from local artists. Can’t recommend enough if you’re looking for a gf breakfast/brunch.

Kaya’s is amazing!! We had the most delicious gluten free blueberry scones, peanut butter cookies and chocolate chip cookies! The quiche is unbelievable! We also had gluten free focaccia bread with egg and cheese and also the focaccia avocado bread (not toasted due to no dedicated toaster). All of it was so good! They are very careful with cross contamination. We have been here before and will definitely go back!

Great place to stop for coffee or beverages. Most if not all of their baked goods are gluten free and vegan. They said all the baked goods displayed within their counter are cooked off site at a different location, so it's safe from cross contamination. Super yummy blueberry scone, and coconut milk + chocolate ganache pie.

I am confused why there aren't more reviews for this place. They are very good at what they do and it is a popular place. Had a good time and delicious food. It is most like a San Francisco coffee shop where you get sandwiches, cookies, and/or a smoothie with your coffee. There is not much seating during Covid, so expect to eat in your car. If you do have to eat in your car, drive down the road a bit as there is no view from the dining area or parking lot. The food is worth it, though. Expect to wait in line about 15 minutes as they are getting busy. Were were there at 2:00 on a Wednesday and we waited 15 minutes and the line continued to build behind us.

Excellent daily Gluten free options of baked goods and quiche. The coffee (americanos) is excellent too...
Wow. What incredible baked goods. The majority of what they bake are vegan and gluten-free and they had multiple options for gluten-free breads for all their amazing sandwiches. It’s a cute road side spot with delicious baked goods, breakfast, and coffee. All very gluten-free friendly. We went back multiple times (including my non gluten-free husband who loved it!)
Yes
I ordered a gluten-free sandwich and I’m pretty sure they gave me regular bread because I got pretty sick after that

Loved the local, island feel. My friend has celiac and she had the gluten free quiche and it was delicious. Also, good coffee.
They have tons of gluten free options! Including parfaits with gluten free granola, bagels and scones. Celiac safe
Amazing Gluten Free desserts to go with their fabulous Kona coffee! The chocolate chip cookies and Samoa cookies were the best we have ever had, and we travel a lot! A must stop if you are looking for local and gluten free.
