DC has a great food scene, and when it comes to fine dining that specializes in seafood, this is one of the best restaurants in the area. Almost everything on the menu is gluten free, with the exception of obvious items like chips, fries, and bread, of course. The seafood is fresh, cooked to perfection, and a wonderful treat for your taste buds. (There are also nice options for meat lovers and vegetarians, but seafood is clearly their specialty.) If you can, check out their Greek night, with live Greek music. I highly recommend the salmon and the octopus and the seafood risotto, and the grilled seafood items are all great. This culinary experience will transport you to Europe without the hefty airfare- it reminds me of great Spanish, Greek and Italian restaurants. Make sure to mention your gluten allergy, and they will be more than willing to accommodate. At least one waiter has a gluten allergy, and the other staff are knowledgeable. There are some great gluten free dessert options, too. As an added bonus, you can get fantastic complimentary champagne (or an appetizer or dessert if you're alcohol-free) on birthdays and anniversaries. The food is expensive but well worth the price, and the service and atmosphere are superb. They also have a location in NYC.
