We have eaten here two nights in a row and tried a number of different dishes. Not only was the service amazing (ask for Taylor) but almost the whole menu can be be made gluten free with separate prep space. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.
So many amazing GF options here. I had the shrimp scampi with GF angel hair pasta. The Grey Goose martinis are served at 28 degrees. The Bellini martini was so good! This restaurant is now on my top ten list of restaurants. Highly recommend it!
Love this place! The staff/kitchen are knowledgeable. I emailed before hand and here’s what they said about their kitchen practices: “All of our menu items can be modified to accommodate gluten free restrictions. Our gluten free pizzas are prepared in the same oven as our regular pizzas, but we use a specific tray for all gluten free pizzas to ensure the separation from all possibly contaminated surfaces inside the oven. All other dishes can be prepared in our separate prep kitchen. All fried options, when prepared gluten free, will be sauteed. Our kitchen staff is fully trained to adhere to all allergy standards. They routinely wash their hands & change their gloves to ensure there will be no cross contamination when preparing allergy sensitive meals. “ I recommend the mozzarella sticks and chicken parmigiana!
Wide selection of gluten free dishes including pasta. They will even prepare gluten free lasagna with one day notice. Gluten free bread too. I had the yummy pasta carbonara and chicken parmigiana. Delicious for celiacs and those that can consume gluten too!
Things must have changed since the 2014 reviews because I was told that while the pasta was gluten free it was still cooked in the same water as the regular pasta and fried items were all done in the same fryer. While the chicken marsala that I had was good, I would't give them 5 stars because of the above issues.
Kenny's Italian Kitchen is our family's go-to restaurant for gluten-free Italian. There's something for everyone in our family - the GF mom gets Eggplant Parm, the GF kids get GF bread and pasta and the gluten-eater dad gets his ravioli. The service is great.
WoW! & Yum! I was in Dallas on business today & was so glad to find this amazing restaurant near my hotel on Belt Line Rd. I can actually see myself taking my client's here in the future and feeling perfectly safe. The hostess & waiter reassured me that they have many GF diners who return often. I loved hearing that! The GF meatball appetizer was a perfect start to the meal. GF bread was a nice feature to the experience, but it was my entree that "stole the show"! The GF chicken pamisian that I read about truly is worth every calorie. It was so tender I cut it with my fork -- no lying! The pasta is a GF penne, which was fine with me. I was too stuffed for dessert, but I will indulge next time. Also worth mentioning: the waiter said everything could be prepared GF except the ravioli, lasgana and 2 other items I can't recall, making the GF options quite numerous. NOTE: the restaurant is in the same shopping area as the new Whole Foods Market off of Belt Line Rd.
I was very disappointed with my GF meal and my husband was also disappointed in his non-GF/"normal" meal. At best, we would rate the meal mediocre. We had the GF calamari, which is made with GF breadcrumbs & resulted in a pile of crumbs on the calamari. While all dishes (except the pizza, lasagna, and ravioli) can be made GF it really means that they will just substitute GF penne pasta, which doesn't work with every dish. My GF penne was way overcooked and the dish lacked depth of flavor. My husband's pesto gnocchi was mushy and the pesto cream also lacked flavor. On the plus side, service was good and they were knowledgeable about GF and cross contamination. We were told that if we called a day in advance that maybe a GF lasagna could be prepared. They are accommodating, but the food just isn't good.
My favorite gluten free in all of the Dallas area!! Menu says all entrees can be prepared gluten free. I always order the gf chicken parmigiana, it's delicious! They also have gf bread that they bring to the table upon request. It makes me feel like a "normal" person when I eat here.
Staff is very friendly and accommodating. They will even take special requests if you call in advance (ex- will prepare items like meatballs, etc if you call the day before). They also provide a separate GF bread loaf when they being out bread and dipping oil for the table. Great food, great place!
