I had chicken and ate it hesitantly, but no bad effect. I'm going back and getting beef. My husband picked it up on the way home he said Hateem was very nice and even gave a little sample plate to an older woman, first time customer. I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and am sensitive to everything, this place was TASTY!
They were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, great flavors. We are only visiting, but we would definitely eat there again.
I eat here all the time and I am extremely sensitive to gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, and so on. Anyways I've never had reactions to their food, its always great tasting, and they speak English just fine(that comment below is stupid). They've given me several free meals and desserts (I don't eat the desserts but my bf and family do) because I eat there so often. They're nice, accommodating, and gluten friendly. Five stars in my opinion for sure!
DO NOT GO HERE! Staff does not speak English well enough to understand cross contamination etc. waste of time, money, and effort. Get similar food at the Zankou Chicken in Anaheim.

While they do not have a GF menu, most of the dishes are GF already. The first time my husband and I visited the restaurant, I gave the owner our list of dietary restrictions to see if we could eat at his restaurant. We can't have gluten, soy, egg, or dairy. Hatem was very helpful in determining what we could and couldn't eat. His daughter can't have gluten so he is aware of the importance of dietary restrictions. We were so thrilled to know that we could have many of his dishes and they are so fresh and delicious. In the beginning we had to eliminate the rice in the kabob plate because it had bulgar wheat in it. He told us that if we called him before coming he would make rice especially for us without it. We called him one time before going there and he had rice ready for us when we got there and it was fantastic. However we didn't want to put him out and loved his salad so much we decided that we wouldn't ask him to do it again and just have a double helping of the salad. He decided to reformulate his rice to eliminate the bulgar wheat and now his rice is GF all the time. I can't tell you how wonderful that made us feel and how tasty it is too. I love rice! Hatem is a wonderful owner who definitely is there to serve his customers. His kabob plates are delicious. There is chicken, lamb, filet mignon, Kafta, or shish kabobs. Everything is made from scratch and with fresh ingredients. We also love the lentil soup. The garlic sauce he makes from scratch is the best I've tasted and adds a wonderful flavor to the meal. For dessert if you can have dairy his rice pudding is a treat. My husband and I have never been ill after eating here and for us that is the test for where we eat. This place is our go to "fast food" restaurant when we want fresh amazing food in a snap. We highly recommend this place.
