I am super sensitive and really careful when I eat outside the house. Key Lime to Happiness is the real deal when it comes to cross contamination awareness. The owners eat GF as well and prepare all gluten free orders first thing in the morning before making the rest. I’ve ordered several times now and have never gotten sick. Plus the pies are delicious and the vibe in the shop is delightful (mostly due to the owners being just as sweet as the pie).
We offer only gluten free pies and our version of a pecan chocolate chip cookie, called The Derby Cookie. (No other baked goods at this time). Our facility sadly is not a dedicated gluten free facility but our owner has a gluten allergy and takes cross contamination VERY SERIOUSLY. Please be sure when preordering that ‘GLUTEN FREE’ is in the title of the item you are ordering. If it does not include ’GLUTEN FREE’ in the title it WILL NOT be made gluten free.
Please note, that while our Gluten Free pies are made with gluten free ingredients they are not made in a gluten-free kitchen. Although we offer a selection of gluten-free items and we take special precautions to keep them safe from contamination, this is not a gluten-free kitchen.
The following allergens are present in our kitchen: peanuts, nuts, tree nuts (pecans), wheat, soy, dairy, eggs, mango, and pineapple. ** If you have a life threatening allergy to any of the above, we HIGHLY recommend you DO NOT consume our products.
Unfortunately we are no longer able to accommodate specific allergy request, such as nut/tree nut free, as the items above are too heavily present in our facility. We apologize for the inconvenience.
I found these guys in a Google search and was beyond pleased with my experience. They are not a dedicated gluten free facility, yet they took time to express that they are very careful about cross-contamination. We ordered a gluten-free Key lime pie - make sure to order in advance, you can’t just walk in any day - and it was the best Key lime pie I have ever had, and probably the best crust I have ever had. Delicious, limey, somehow recreated a graham cracker crust, but gluten free - amazing. I will absolutely patronize this bakery again and highly recommend it!
As of today when looking at their website

Hi Hayley. You may have missed our gluten free specific options on our menu and our allergy FAQs. What you have copied and pasted from our website is only part of what our gluten free menu disclaimer states. The entire disclaimer on our gluten free specific options reads: “ Please note, that while our Gluten Free pies are made with gluten free ingredients they are not made in a gluten-free kitchen. We apologize for the inconvenience.” While we are not a dedicated gluten free bakery, Our owner is gluten intolerant and takes all gluten free preparation VERY seriously. We have separate ingredients dedicated to our gluten free pies and make them first before any non gluten free pies are made. But because we are not dedicated gluten free, we do have the disclaimer on there for everyone’s protection. We do not accommodate specific allergies that are life threatening such as nuts, tree nuts, or mango, etc. I hope that helps to clear things up for anyone else reading this review. Thank you.
