Kim's Sushi

Kim’s is arguably my favorite hidden gem in NJ. It looks like a run down dry cleaner from the outside, but inside is the best, most consistent sushi with an incredibly allergy and gluten aware team.

They can advise on exactly what rolls can be made GF (most of the menu! only things truly off limits are fried rolls and their miso soup.) and will tell you what they’d need to change on the roll to make it so. Often it’s just removing a teriyaki sauce or removing crunch, which they’re happy to do. They also always box gluten containing rolls separately from anything you request gluten free. My favorite rolls are the tuna belly specials, their Carlo roll and their salmon lover roll. Their sashimi is great too - nice to have options for scallops, red snapper among others.

You can order online for pickup with confidence (there are gluten free check boxes for each roll). I’ve eaten here dozens of times, always left satisfied and have never gotten sick. I feel so lucky to have Kim’s close by. A godsend for us gluten free folks.
