After being a regular here for a bit, I ordered a Roast Beef 3-way on gluten free. I get it home and see it's on a regular bun. Accidents happen, so I go back asking if they can remake it. He says "we don't have gluten free bread anymore, only gluten free pizza." I had ordered through Slice and paid $2 extra for the GF roll. He says "We've taken it off the menu, but some of the apps still show it."
I look over at the wall "it's on the menu right there." He didn't believe me even though I was pointing right at it.
Cross contamination isn't enough to set me off (I am confirmed celiac though), so I usually have a hard time confirming the safety of a place. In this case, the fact that they didn't call me to tell me they didn't have it, and instead just slapped regular bread on there like it's no big deal, tells me to tell you to AVOID LIKE A KEG OF BEER.
I was so stoked to have this when I moved into the neighborhood. I guess there goes the only gluten free north shore beef in Cambridge. The pizza's fine, but I doubt any precautions are taken.
