Superb! Everything is gluten-free and vegan. I’m dairy free and most items are dairy free. They have bowls, sandwiches, sweet and savory baked goods.
Everything tasted terrific. I had the Green Goddess bowl. Hubby had the Baby Kale Caesar. Sweet treats I ate, recommended by the staff (when I told them I would only be there for one day so I wanted the very best): vegan pumpkin bread; vegan pecan bars; tropical blue smoothie bowl. I saw people walk out with baguettes.
It was a gorgeous autumn day and the front and back outdoor areas were filled with people. Inside the restaurant is also lovely.
I love this place so much that I wish I could bring it to Seattle to fill a missing niche in our restaurant market.
Always enjoy this place when we are close by. Quiches are delicious with rotating flavors. All pastries from muffins to breads. All gf. Always feel safe.
I happened upon this bakery during a quick trip to Beacon and had no idea it was an entirely gluten free (plus dairy free/vegan) in many other respects. I am not gluten free but my sister has a gluten allergy so I have been very involved in recreating recipes for her and tasting and try many things over many years.
I order a mushroom & ricotta tart, and couldn’t resist the chocolate cupcake with strawberrry/raspberry frosting. As I ate the tart, I could not believe it was gluten free. The pastry was flaky with so many layers and DELICIOUS.
I personally am not a fan of most cupcakes - they tend to be dry, overly sweet with godawful American buttercream, and heavy. Not only was this the best gluten free cupcake I’ve ever had, it was THE BEST CUPCAKE I’VE EATEN IN MY LIFE! I’ve eaten a lot of cupcakes in my life. Truly. And I live an hour away from Beacon, but I would make the trip just to eat at this bakery and take a hell of a lot home for later to put in my freezer. So delicious I can’t stop taking or thinking about this place!
Food was delicious. Everything was gluten free and vegetarian and I felt very safe eating here.
Absolutely delicious!! I was very surprised to find a dedicated gf restaurant in this cute town! I got an iced chai latte, blueberry coffee cake, BBQ jackfruit sandwich, and a loaf of sourdough to bring home. I will definitely come back next time I visit!
I ordered the Banana and Wildflower Honey Toast! It was delicious! I felt very comfortable eating here and would definitely come back!
I think this place used to be Ella's bellas. In any case it was great fun and the food was very good. I had a very tasty black bean sweet potato quinoa Burger on a delicious herb bun accompanied by some kind of salad. The decaf coffee was very good. I got a baguette, a sourdough bread and a corn muffin to go. The baguette and the sourdough bread were wonderful. Just like real bread! The corn muffin not so good. However, my wife liked it. I did not get sick and I would certainly go back here.
Love everything I've ever gotten here. Can hardly believe that it's gluten free, let alone mostly vegan. Can't recommend enough. Love the bundle cakes, peanut butter bars. The warm bowl meals. Yum yum yum!!
So nice to eat at a dedicated gf restaurant, their pastries are delicious!
Loved it so much we went twice in two days. Everything is GF. The breads were fantastic- had the grilled cheese (amazing) with a delicious side salad, the tempeh Reuben, the broccoli cheddar quiche, AND the avocado toast. Don’t sleep on their treats! Those vegan ginger spice cookies are insane, as was the whoopie pie!
My mom had a peanut butter chocolate chip cookie and I got a rainbow cookie. My mom had no complaints about her cookie, said it was fantastic and didn’t have that “gluten-free” drop in quality so many of these things tend to have. My rainbow cookie was a little dry, but otherwise tasted perfect.
Excellent selection, dedicated facility, everything is gf and tasty
If I can give this place a zero I would.
Nothing like having a know it all at the register telling me that I should know that everything there is GF. I don’t know. But you continue to make me feel like an idiot by the way you talk to customers asking questions about your products. Anyway I bought a chive and cheddar muffin of some sort and it was like eating dense clay. Don’t waste your time and money if you have celiac disease.
It’s not a trend for us and we don’t feel like being humiliated for asking questions. I’ll never go back nor will I recommend this place.
Great food and atmosphere. The curried chickpea sandwich on homemade gf baguette was fantastic. Also loved the strawberry basil cake. Highly recommended.
The absolute best. Food is amazing, coffee is delicious. Whoopie Pies are heaven. Staff is the greatest.
I am speechless. So many gluten free foods to choose from. Very friendly staff. Dining area was immaculate. I will be visiting again!
Dedicated gluten free and vegetarian. Excellent, highly recommend!!
If I could move next door to this restaurant, I would. I have celiacs, and was in Beacon for the weekend visiting, and this place was a godsend. I unfortunately “got glutened” at a different restaurant in Beacon my first day there, and basically decided to only eat at Kitchen & Coffee the rest of my stay. I was able try nearly everything on the menu and nothing disappointed, everything was amazing and it was such a relief to not have to worry about getting sick. Some of my favorites were:
- Avocado toast- so hearty and flavorful!
- Curry Bowl- the coconut flatbread is amazing, and I’d suggest ordering as a side with some of the other dishes
- THE BUNDT CAKES- if you’re ordering something from the bakery case, try one. It’s hands down one of the most delicious gluten-free pastries I’ve ever head, like a giant donut. They also have muffins, cupcakes, scones etc
ALSO everything is priced decently- more affordable than a lot of gluten free establishments I’ve been too, and they have a lot of outdoor seating in the front and back. Nothing but love for this place!!!
Dedicated GF Restaurant!!! You can eat anything and they have fresh baked goods and bread!
This place is amazing! Entirely GF The food is very tasty!
Must stop if you’re nearby. Everything we had was sooo good! The bread tastes like it’s homemade. Tried the chocolate whoopie pie which I believe was also vegan. Nice vibe too.
It’s like Disney World for you GI system!!! Only place I know of where I can order ANYTHING I want and won’t feel wretched afterwards!!!
Absolutely fantastic! The lunch options were good, but the pastries were absolutely the star of the show. Can’t say enough good things about the cheddar scallion biscuit. Cool vibe inside and great back patio. Very fun that the coolest neighborhood spot happens to be 100% GF!
I’ve been here a number of times at this point, and it is fantastic!!!!! I’ve had their cookies, muffins, scones, quiche, and best of all, a gf baguette, which is the closest to a real baguette that I’ve tasted since I was diagnosed 10 years ago. Go early to get the bread, as they can run out.
This place is a gem. Lots of bakery items and coffees/teas, but also a splendid and varied menu of main course dishes. The vegan Pho is to die for. We also really like their take on avocado toast. Sweet potato black bean fritters were served with hummus and a fantastic cranberry/golden raisin compote. Seating indoors and out in their backyard patio is clean and pleasant.
